Prepare to get karma bombed, people have a pretty big dislike for posts like this probably.

To answer the question, I've stumbled upon turtles pulling off some tricks on bosses and being eh... "viable". On the other hand I loved my bear for tanking while leveling. Never got him out of the stables at 80.

See the thread up there called "HELP ME"? Use it.

There's also another post right below this one talking about a turtle tank. Had you bothered to read it, you would have seen a link to a blog that talks all about tanking pets.

NO, you just wanted to post something, anything. If you had any clue at all (being an 80) you would know the abilities of tenacity pets vs. the others. You would know that bears essentually have 2 aoe's for threat. You mentioned you have read the turtle thread so you also know their capabilities. yet you still felt the need to post your own question. A simple minded ignorant question like this has been answered 15 times in the past few weeks I would wager. So I am going to call out your laziness. You mentioned you wanted to hear people opinions. Yet where to lazy to do your own search. Go back to the Main wow forums and continue to cloud those forums with pointless dithering. Keep it out of here.

And as I said, had you bothered to read the turtle thread as you claim to have done, you would have seen the link to a blog all about hunter tanking/pets.

Reading the first post in a thread does not count as reading the thread.

For leveling I preferred a Scorpid as the DoT, Thunder Clap and Taunt enabled me to actually shoot stuff for the entire duration of the fight instead of doing some awkward attempt at being a Rogue.

Of course, having a 21-day Mend Pet running also helps:

Yeah, I can see a high school poster in the making already: "Be cool like the rest, get crabs!"

Yeah, and then have some shaman call you out for imitating you.

But crabs are cool, especially since mine has a spelling mistake in her name. And yes, my crab is a girl. I will fix the mistake, though.

Scorpids are still cooler than crabs (seriously, can't even type out the name without giggling now). They've got pincers and a stinger. I mean, they're like spiders, but without the hair, icky spider webs and with freakin' pincers and stingers!

As long as there aren't any scorpions in my bodily hair when I wake up, it's all good.
