Continueing on the musical banter in the other thread, I figured it had a decent basis to make a new thread: what is your priest/spec/character's theme song?
To get the obvious tune out of the way; no naming "Discipline" by Nine Inch Nails.

In that case you're possibly the most awesome priestess I've ever met. Even if you withold cookies.
On a more serious note, this would be the proper anthem for my priest (or me irl, really). Songs like those make me sad of my age and the fact that I've never really wallowed in the alledged brilliance of Hemingway, Sallinger and the likes in my youth.

Overrated. Hemingway is a misogynist pig and Salinger is, oh let's just face it folks, whiny. If you want to wallow in the brilliance of American authors you need Toni Morrison, Faulkner, Fitzgerald, Hawthorne, and, obviously, Poe. Of course, if you actually read them in succession you will emerge from the experience very, very weird.

Of Hemingway I've only read The Old Man and the Sea, and I hated it. I have to read some Fitzgerald very soon for school (The Great Gatsby), but I'm not all that excited about it. I've read Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, and didn't particularly enjoy it.
Poe, however, is awesome.
And I'm noticing a distinct lack of Twain on this list.
I guess this would be my priests amazingly cheesy theme song. Transformers the movie ftw - yes I mean the PROPER one.

You're right! That's because Twain is not to be put on some list with others. Twain is his own list. Even Twain couldn't come up with words that fully express how great Twain is.
Keep an open mind about Gatsby. It's a fabulous book. But even if you hate it, at least it's short.
Afterward you can see the Redford movie, but not before. He's excellent in it, but I have a hard time with Mia Farrow as Daisy.As my priest is named Belloq, it is only appropriate that this is his theme music. About 2:00 is where it kicks in.

For a long time now, I've had a (rather interesting for me, annoying for everyone else) habit of playing the ol' dueling banjos theme right before the boss fight. Now, when I'm leading guildies through a place they're not familiar with and the banjos kick in ... they start freaking out. And a fiddle's just as good as a banjo for a redneck, right? It's one o them thar things with strings that you pluck, raht? </redneck>

Sorry, ol' Goth-head here....anything by The 69 Eyes or Fields of The Nephilim (esp Last Exit for the Lost).
On the subject of literature, The Great Gatsby is a cracking read, but I disagree with the folks that say he was the best American author ever. Toni Morrison has got to be the best, if not at the near pinnacle...

As Fish notes, Twain FTW. I'd put Morrison at about a second place tie with Faulkner. Maybe put Poe in the top five because he gets extra points for inventing a genre. And the whole Alcott/Hawthorne/Emerson Concord contingent should get a little love. If only Harper Lee had written more than one book...
