You are all wrong.

Blizzard uses their RNG to determine buffs/nerfs. Why do you think rogues weren't touched for so long and now are being poked so much?

Not a one that I can think of, no. Rogues are pretty unique in that regard.

No DIRECT +% damage talents, no (though there is a -% one). Blizz tends to use these for balancing purposes, which is why they are usually expensive to get to. Death Knights have had their 45 point talents that add a percentage to damage changed so many times because it is the least risky way to nerf (and it pisses off players the least). I'm betting Hunger for Blood in its current state was never intended. Didn't you have to stack it, and put up bleeds to maintain it?

I wouldn't be surprised if Cata saw the complete change of HfB.

There are only two passive 51 point talents--Beast Mastery, which is generally translated into +9% damage and an ability, and Titan's Grip, which allows the DW of 2-handed weapons and reduces damage output by 10%.

There are only two-four 51 point talents that are "buffs" in the sense that you activate the ability to boost your current ones. Berserk, Hunger for Blood and, in a weird way, Beacon of Light and Guardian Spirit. Berserk is a nice burst tool, but only lasts 15 seconds. Beacon of Light potentially makes some heals more effectively (but it is odd because you can literally use the exact same abilities at the exact same time and benefit from it a ton in one scenario and none at all in another). Guardian Spirit lasts 10 seconds, but doesn't directly do anything itself. And, the opposite of BoL, you need to cast on the target for it to be effective.

Back to the original topic... I both love and hate the nerf and knew it was inevitable. I saw it's ferocity in the form of impersonation with my guild. Originally, my raiding guild had 3 solid rogues. Since 3.3, I now see 12 rogues that are labeled "alts" because all of a sudden "Rogues are so cool and OP".

I expect the fad to wear off after this, but who knows... it may not .

I think of this in the same way as the HaT bug (why yes I can spam Eviscerate 1000x for 12k dps in Naxx, thank you)... it was fun while it lasted, I enjoyed it, and will move on accordingly. Frankly, I can no longer keep up with all the changes in this game, so why cry about it anymore.

hey guys,

The only differnece I saw with the 3.3 buff was that all of a sudden m instant poison was doing more damage than my auto attacks. fair enough in it's self is pretty weird saying that I only have sub 219 gear atm.

as much as I am enjoing Muti, it doesnt seem all that suited for 5 mans, the amount of time it takes to set up....then the mob is deadthen the next pack, and maybe 2 more then I need to do it over again. Even though like I said I onl have sub 219 gear; My boss DPS is about 5-6k(my t8/9 shamn is onl just reaching that)

with all this put into context, I still think a 15% to a 5% is a bit harsh for muti. HfB has been plaed with enough, leave it as an ACTIVE talent, like rampage used to be for warriors. It's an extra button to press other than the boring 3 buttons we have atm
