I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

You are 5/5 in Devine Strength - Good pick all around... You really just can't go wrong with that.
Then you are 2/5 in Devinity - Which increases your heals. Why?
Oh - I see - you went 3/3 in Stoicism which reduces stuns.... So that's why you have 2/5 in Devinity (To total to 10 - so you can move to the next tier...)

Here's the problem - Devinity is fairly useless while leveling. I don't know if it alters the amount of healing you get from your blessings, but, even if it does, it's a poor choice for leveling Prot. Stoicism is really more PVP oriented and Prot isn't a good PVP spec.

If you intend to go Prot my suggestion would be to pick up the 5/5 in Anticipation. Prot leveling is AOE Grinding. (Google that and Watch Videos about it to learn how to do it... In short it's tanking a bunch of mobs solo and using your blessings to heal you) Grabbing that Anticipation will add Dodge. Dodge will add mana (through a talent you will take later called Blessing of Sanctuary.) Mana = Life (For an AOE Grinder)

Ok - back to it... Tier 3

WTF is Devine Sacrafice doing? It reduces damage to you party and puts it on you. First - Tanking lowbie instances doesn't require this. Second - if you use this you will essentially kill yourself - *effect does break - but you'll die soon after. Third it has no value solo. Fourth and finally - it has no value to an AOE Grinder.

Toughness - Great pick. While many people disagree with it - I personally recommend these talents to leveling people. For example my Druid took the talent that increased the armor given by Leather items. In end game only tanks should take damage - so this type of talent is useless for all non-tanks. While leveling, you will get hit. So this should reduce down time. PLUS - you are leveling as a tank. You will NOT quickly kill things - so you will get hit a lot. This should help.

Hmmm - Swing and a miss. Improved Righeous Fury (RF). This 3 point talent will reduce damage by 6%. That's a big deal as a tank or AOE grinder. Getting rid of the Seals of the Pure (Tier 1 Talent from Holy will free up 2 points. YOu should Drop that Devine Sacrafice to free up 1 point... This would be a good place to shove those 3...

In Tier 4 I like your choices. You needed to spend another 5 points in the Prot Tree to get to the next tier and all of these points are good. You will use different auras, but you will appreciate your improved Devotion Aura. Also - many people don't like the Improved Hammer of Justice for end game... But you aren't in End game. Stunning a mob will give you time... Sometimes that's all you need... Good choice for Solo.

Blessing of Sanctuary. This is the talent that lets you AOE grind. Good choice.

Like I said - Google "Paladin AOE Grind" to watch someone do it. You can't watch the video and be good at it - it takes a lot of practice. Start small.

wow. thanks! that is much more help than i expected. I had never heard of the AOE grinding but that is pretty much what i have been doing. I have a rogue that i leveled to 80 but a pally is so much different. i basically get on the horse, haul a$$ around and pick up as many mobs as i can and then hit up consecrate (the one that hits them all). then i hit my judgement and exorcism and keep the consecrate going so when i finish with one, the next one is already half dead and so on. i use hammer of justice to stop humanoids from fleeing when their HP get low. I am leveling at a crazy pace like that. another good thing that I have found is that since it is a drenai pally, i get that gift of the naruu thing. That i just keep going when i am fighting mobs and i rarely even have to heal. i am 33 right now and i can fight 4-5 32-34 mobs and still finish with over half my health. my mana is gone, though, so i have to hit up the juice to refill.

thanks so much for your input and i will make the changes and see how it plays out for me.

any other suggestions, i strive for perfection. are my dps and armor where they should be for my level?

thanks again,

doug

Be careful with Exorcism. A few patches ago they nerfed it. It used to be an instant cast and it made some type of paly (Ret) OP in PVP. So, naturally in the face of PVP issues they nerfed this spell and made it a cast spell.

Cast spells basically drop all your defense. (Not really all, but most)

Exorcism is an excellent spell. It's great for pulling or sniping a runner (Save your shield) but it should generally not be used while tanking or AOE Grinding as it will cause you to take more hits.
