What makes you the best healers?

Don't druids HoT's tick higher and paladins cast-times out speed you? Shamans have totems and buffs, what do you have?

Btw: HONEST QUESTION.

Priests aren't the best healers, they're just good at a lot of different things.

Top Eleven Reasons Priests Are The Best Healers:

1. We look hot in robes.
2. That sound Prayer of Mending makes. 'Nuff said.
3. We've won the annual Azeroth Healers Cookie Bake-off eight years running.
4. The priest trainers in Silvermoon give out free Red Bulls.
5. In contrast to certain classes in bear form, we always pick up after our Shadowfiends.
6. Levitate.
7. Shadowform and Spirit of Redemption make great party tricks.
8. Stormwind Cathedral is a total party school.
9. One word: wands.
10. Tyrande could totally kick Uther's ***.
11. Power Word: Barrier. Oh. Wait. ****.

Bad questions tend to attract bad answers. The "best" healer is the one who plays a class s/he knows and loves, and pays attention instead of eating chicken wings at the keyboard. The rest is details.

I can shield 10 people to mitigate damage.
I've got a hot, a powerful group heal, bouncing heals, instant cast heals. I can suppress damage, dispel magic or cure disease. I can Shield and heal on the run. I've got FADE and a shadow fiend, and a raid saving Divine Hymn.

In short, we have a ton of tools and our healing style is fast and varied. There isn't one set rotation. Should I spam shields or not, flash heal or chain PoH, dispel or heal through it? We are constantly deciding which of our varied tools match the situation at hand. It's a lot of fun.

I don't think there is a "best healer". There are healers who heal differently, and we compliment each other quite well.

You know what is strange, my priest is male and I don't care what he looks like in his garb. I always chose the outfit with the best stats and zoomed way out so I didn't have to look at it.

I started levelling a female druid and have passed on marginal upgrades because the item was an eyesore (such as this). I spend a few minutes working with Outfitter each session so that when she transforms out of kitty or bear form, she is appropriately dressed for the ball in case someone invites her.

IT IS SUCH A HASSLE!!

I blame you, Teacake for making me conscious of outward appearances!

Thanks! Smiley: lol

but i would never let her go out sluttily attired.Smiley: mad

But you can just choose not to show that?

I accept your blame. Welcome to the vanity club! A couple of tips I can give you right off:

Keep a wide variety of shirt colors in the bank. They can really help pull an outfit together.

Make sure you have at least one tabard to cover up that ugly upgrade you just had to have anyway.

The barber shop is your friend. Don't let your hair clash with your outfit. The same rule applies with mounts.

Druids are especially tough, because there is a lot of leather panty armor. I don't care if it has 3,601 feral attack power at level 14. Do not wear the panty armor.

Why mess with the perfection that is the Stylish Black Shirt?

My little troll priest looked gorgeous in an all blue-and-white outfit, like an ice queen. I will go back to that sort of look as soon as possible, but running around in level 5 equipment is not very effective. I kept the robe, though, it goes so incredibly well with her colouring.

My AH outfit includes a tuxedo shirt and Ruby Shades. No weapon or armor... and people still ask for a duel.

I need more bagspace before I actually bother with something like that on a character I'm playing. Plus, I'm doing most of my shopping in Silvermoon atm and there's practically no one there to adore me anyway.

Edit: Although being a troll there generally feels strangely out of place.

It didn't arrive. I got the linen cloth and the enchanting stuff, but not whatever else you said you'd sent me.
