Shadow Priest SpecFollow

#1 Dec 31 2009 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
I currently have a level 80 priest and I wanted to know what are the current shadow specs that are being used. I tried looking at the shadow priest guide but it is not up to date. Also I want to know if the rotation I am using is right. I cast SW:P, DP, VT, MB, MF then continue MF till MB's cool down is up or I need to refreash DP or VT. Thank you for any help that you can give.

Check out my shadow spec from the armory link at the bottom of my post, its pretty much the standard. If you're talking about extended fights your initial rotation isincorrect because you need to get 5 stacks of shadow weaving up before you cast your initial sw:p otherwise it doesn't benefit from the additional damage when refreshed by mind flay. Try VT DP MF SWP MB or VT DP MB MF(2) SWP whichever works best for you. Check shadowpriest.com for more in depth info, its always up to date with the latest goodies.

There are a few points that can be swapped around for preference, to minimal effect.

For example: My spec.

I've dropped Focused Mind and placed the points into Inner Focus and Improved VE. This way, I use IF with Mind Blast and get a free crit every so often, and I stay topped off during fights with AoE damage.

It's really all personal preference.
