Water ones, that is, which are immune to Frost damage?

Just curious. Even if it is recollections from leveling.

Do you Fireball? Flame Blast? Arcane Barrage? Arcane Explosion? Wand?

I'm pretty sure they may be my least favorite types of mobs in the game...

It sucks that Mages get hit with this limitation (My DK hates it, too). I don't know of any shadow-immune mobs in the game...

And the only arcane resistant ones I can think of are resistant to all magic, as far as I know...

Back in Vanilla, I used Scorch and Fireblast.

Now? Well, now, there's dual spec.

Icy Veins > Arcane Missiles. If you have ice barrier it's even easier since it prevents spell pushback. Mobs that are immune to ice such as water elementals often take reduced damage from fire damage as well.

That really sucks... I don't understand why they'd do that! Why balance so harshly against 1 (and kinda harshly against the new DKs)? I get that there are no BOSSES that are frost immune, to my knowledge, in Wrath. But there's still trash.

And it's quite annoying as a DK tank to get those packs, especially when I was frost. I'd have to focus all my strikes on the water elemental to keep it from going after party members, since Frost Fever and Howling Blast didn't work. :'(

Are there any mobs immune to, say, Arcane that are not immune to other schools?

I believe the shadow elementals in netherstorm are immune to shadow. And there are mobs that are nature resistant (think of Hydross + adds)

Ice barrier + frostfire bolt with a little scorch/fireblast if the mobs almost dead. The only time I would ever kill water elementals is that weekly quest in WG which can sometimes have you killing water elementals. So it's a bit annoying killing so slowly, but it's only 10 mobs.

I think it more depends on what level you are, as a leveling mage (the time when you will run into frost elementals more often) you won't have FFB.

Leveling as arcane means almost no mobs immune to you.

But there's some high elf mobs in the Hinterlands that have massive arcane resistance. Frost bolt spam. :-\
