I splurged and bought a few stacks as soon as they came available from the rep grinders in ICC, for 60 gold per 1000. A week later and they are now in the AH for 99 copper per arrow.....that is some very nice cheap ammo!
On Boulderfist it's 8g per/1000 on the bullets and 12g/1000 on the arrows right now and dropping.
20 stack of eternal shadow a month or two ago: 40g.
Resulting arrows: 100k.
Crafting done by a guildie so no costs for a total of 40s per stack of 1000.

I leveled engineering a few months ago and never declared a specialization because I guessed that Blizz would later introduce something cool that required a specialization. I know it's not hard to change specializations, I'm just saying Blizzard is semi-predictable.
Anyway the winning specialization will be the first weapon that drops when I have enough resources to to obtain a Primordial Saronite and/or bullets because I already have 3 stacks of Eternal Earth collecting dust in the bank. :)
