Ret pally wet dream? SoCom is just amazing in there, like an ****** of death! My deeps was inflated. Ok enough terrible references for now but holy crap that trash is fun for Ret.

Yeah, our Ret Pally was having an ****** last night I think. He hit 10k dps.

Plus, you get that ludicrous 1% boost from a MINOR glyph. There are classes which run with MAJOR glyphs that give a smaller return, but are still best for DpS. >.<

I'm just happy Blizz did NOT put ice-immune mobs in. There are few things I've encountered as annoying as that.

I'm second, or even first on dps in my heroic tanking spec (5/5 reckoning and seals of the pure) on some trash packs in there. Can't wait to jump in as ret.

3.3 in general is fun time for ret paladin :P Holy Wrath is pretty rad in Halls of Reflection. See a rogue poof over to the healer? Bam! Don't even need to be targeting it. Tank having trouble picking up the extra abominations on the last segment of the fleeing part? Bam! Extra couple of seconds to swipe them. It's great.

The spell I really need to work into common usage though is Turn evil. These fights are perfect for it. No extra mobs to worry about agroing.

I have to agree about the 5 mans, particularly Halls as mentioned, and have had a blast tanking and DPSing them. Would love to get in to see the ICC stuff as well, but a week in and PUGs already won't take you if you haven't been before ... Need to get working on my guild to go at least do some rep farming if not actual boss tries.

It is just lovely.

Not as stellar as Bod, but I finally went in to ICC for a little rep farming, 10 man. Was pulling over 7k DPS, which without having much more than emblem gear and heroic drops, I thought was pretty good :)

11k overall up to marrowgar, but i was peaking nearly 20k at times when i popped wings and had about 8 of those Damned mobs around me. And now i have the best axe until Shadowmourne (til it gets nerfed i guess)!

edit: I got offers to buy it, but they were completely pathetic. 5, 6k gold. That's what the battered hilt sells for on my server. Plus Ret paladins get double benifit from Bryntroll due to Seal of Vengeance proccing it. It accounts for about 8% of my total damage and grants ridiculous health regen to boot. If there is ever a situation in ICC like the 4 horsemen in naxx where a dps needs to "tank" something, a ret with this weapon and Seal/Judgement of Light would be a great choice.

Yes I want to play with a Bryntroll before it gets nerfed that must be fun. Maybe I will luck out this week. I'm doing 10-11k on that trash myself, part of the fun is trying to stay alive though with all that threat hehe. Pulling out all the stops with stuns and holy wrath.

Anytime I queue for pugs in H HoR I get chosen to tank. At least I get a insta group practically. Tanking those waves is a rush. I usually try and lay down a consecrate in front of the healer hiding in the corner so no rogues or warriors go runing past me and insta gank it. Good times. When I run with the guild as Ret though they love having me for all the extra undead control. Go Go Divine Eye lazers!

And yeah Turn evil is a great idea I never use that! I will have to try and remember to fear the hunter or one of the other ranged next time on the waves.

Actually Shojindo, i may be wrong about it probably being nerfed*. I looked at some of the upcoming loot in the next ICC bosses:

Heartpierce

That's a 1.8 speed MH dagger. The proc has no internal CD, like Bryntroll. In 2v2 a rogue with a priest, you could go envenom spec and sit on an enemy healer. You can already set up 5 stacks of deadly poison, then vanish to get Overkill ticking plus Focused Attacks for mad energy regen. Then this proc as well? That is an INSANE amount of damage from mutilate > envenom > mutilate spam.

A comment by GC seems to suggest that these random procs are the future on gear to make things more fun.

unfortunately from what I've heard, the heartpierce doesn't stack up in terms of raw dps for rogues, even with the extra energy.

Yeah I read that quote about them saying just +1 stats was getting boring on new gear. That does sound hopeful that Bryntroll is "Working as intended".

Update: It's a holiday miracle! I actually won a good 2H weapon early in a raid teir for once. B-Troll be mine.

Bad Dagger(Read: Below Average) is bad.
