Hi Guys,
Been running my Shammy in the new pug system which I think works really well. However, in every run without exception I am always healing, not that I mind that so much infact that versatility is why I went with Shammy in the first place. But I'm now feeling reluctant to go as elemental dps as I might then be taking a spot from a 'real' dps class? So, are we still viable, what's your experience of this?

Umm...yea, we're fine DPS. You will just get asked to heal because you have a healing spec in the first place. This always happens to Paladins/Shamans/SPriests/Druids.

Easiest way to end up in the group as dps is to make sure the box for healer is NOT checked. The system will find another healer for the group and that group will likely not even know you've got a resto offspec. It will take you longer to get groups, but if dpsing is what you prefer to do, that's your best way to do it.

Yes, that's what I've started doing, I really like healing but sometimes need a change of pace. Anyway, I'm doing ok with it, though as you say it goes take longer to find a group
