If you are looking to start running 25ToC how much heath should a prot pally have?
And really, how much health is good? Not asking how much you should have min, but so that your healer doesn't freak out (assuming that you have a avg healer).

Why? Well, I spaced whenever they switched TBTL to str instead of stam so now I'm regemming and such. Also got my second piece of t9 (love the new random lfg!!).

Meh, how much str should we have?
And what is a good balance?

I had about 32k health unbuffed when I started tanking ToC25 in guild runs and it was a bit low. Now I've got closer to 36k unbuffed and it's a lot easier. Most PUG groups balk at the sight of a tank with less than 40k health unbuffed, however.

As for STR, don't worry about it. The Str on your gear is what you use. We never gem for it, we never enchant for it, we just go with what we've got. If your gear supports the health and avoidance you need to tank the content, it will also have the Str you need on it to get the job done in terms of threat.

My opinion is that 34k is enough with only one stamina trinket. 35k with two as your avoidance will be lower.

40k unbuffed for TOC 25 is, frankly, unrealistic. My paladin is ToC 25 / TOGC 10 / ICC geared with only on item under 245 and he's sitting pretty at just over 41k. I DO use one non-stamina trinket, but even then ... What would a 40k unbuffed tank be doing in a toc 25 run? I tell you what, carrying people, there's 0 drops (or perhaps one) for him there.

The problem is that other people don't care about YOUR drops. :'(

I wish Blizz would replace vote-to-kick with vote-to-poke-in-eye, except only non-idiots could use it.
