I'm one of the lucky people still unable to logon to wow after the 3.3 patch. Just wondering how the new IC raids are and all the other new goodies.
Has anyone tried the new LFG or raids?
How are the changes to shadow working out?

:( I feel like a kid who ran downstairs Christmas morning to open my presents, just to be told that Santa's sled broke down and the gifts are going to be late...

As for raids, I did the weekly one by killing a first boss in Naxx. Not much special, free emblems. As for the new LFG, it's brilliant. It really is. It makes instances effectively works like BGs, which means that A) you'll generally find a group to go with within 15 minutes (even at 5 in the morning) and B) low level instancing has just been ressurected.

For as far as I've heard from our guild's shadow priest, pretty nifty. Her damage has gone up splendidly (though I haven't seen her DPS in actual raids yet), even to the point where she does so much bust damage she is pulling aggro on trash mobs.

I have, and they are sex.

You know the sex I just mentioned? Like that. But better.

Yeah, shadow is looking really good at the moment. 2 of the first 4 bosses in IC are just a dream for shadowpriests and the rest are still showing a significant enough damage boost to take us to the middle of the dps pack. Just hope it scales up now.

Oh and btw, if you have a shadow priest go and check out vezax now - I almost laughed my **** off yesterday. Had VT down to about 7 seconds duration without heroism and was only beaten on damage by our best mage.

ICC is looking more Disc friendly than ToC was IMO.

The first two fights are very pro-Disc, the last two I am not as sure.

I haven't gone on the boat jump so can't say for sure but a disc could solo the stay on your team boat healing.

The last fight would be more comp dependent to judge. But I can see disc and holy being about equal. Not sure how the shield mechanics interact with the evil mob that makes the boss get angry power so can't really say as that could make a HUGE difference.

edit: this is as a tank that has done all the fights and loves his disc healer.

Haven't raided yet (as Shadow, not that I ever get to) to see how it works there, but in the heroic 5-mans, I'm putting out ~400 DPS more on average than I was before. It'll probably go up even higher when I get an appreciable amount of haste on my shadow set.

Now, I'm loving the change to Vampiric Embrace. With it being a self-buff instead of a debuff, it simplifies the rotation considerably. And I don't have to worry about skipping it on the faster dying trash like I used to do.

LoL, I wish I could get in there and play! :(
Looks like I will be dropping my holy spec *gasp* for shadow once I get the T9 gear. How can I resist something better than sex? LoL

My guild cleared ICC 25 without me :( then demoted me from "trial raider" to "lowest rank possible"... *Sigh*

I got so sick of trying to fix the issues patch 3.3 is causing I just bought a new computer... If I have to spend 20+ hours trying to trouble shoot a stupid patch problem what is going to happen when the expansion finally comes out? Might as well take advantage of the Christmas sales...

Bloodbeasts have to connect with attacks to add blood power to saurfang (just like the boss himself) and i think this is true of blood nova too. So shielding the raid is going to be pure sex on that fight.

I'm using triumph badges to upgrade my crappy deadly gear to furious, so i can hover around 1100 resilience, but finally start building toward 130 spell pen and hit rating. This is huge for my rmp team, since now we can make reliable switches with me sitting on a polyed enemy and fearing as the duration ends even if they have shadow resist aura. We went something like 22 wins, 8 losses this week, so it's looking promising. My mage is doing the queldelar questline at the moment, and the rogue recently got 2 ilevel 232 daggers.

We downed the fight earlier today (technically yesterday, looking at the time) on 25-man and this doesn't seem to be the case. Saurfang's blood power simply increases with one if a blood beast launches an attack. Absorbs do not seem to prevent him from getting charged. The fight was somewhat chaotic on 25-man but from what I can tell no healing classes are specifically 'pure sex' on the fight - DPS is a lot more important. On a sidenote, the fight is ten times easier if you let the first one or two DPS who get a mark die - even with the 5/10% healing that'll give him, it will slow down the speed with which he marks so tremendously that it's worth it.

Well, that sucks. Saurfang himself definately has to cause some damage with an attack to add blood power, i noticed it cause i fully block most of his attacks on my palla up to about 35 BP or so when he gets a little stronger.

Just as a sidenote for people playing shadow out there. Stacking up the haste can be really beneficial. I've tried both haste and mixed haste/crit sets and the best performer so far is my heavy haste set. I've got about 960 on there at the moment but unless the T10 4 set really messes up the rotation with that I'd be tempted to say there was room for even more to come.

The latest EJ numbers put Haste equal to Spellpower.

Haste is your FRIEND.

I really should really go and re-gem with the new things in mind (aka: only really gemmed for SP before...)

I pugged my *** off this weekend and grabbed the 4p T9 shadow set and the hit wand... Then jumped into some more pugs as dps and had so much fun! I cannot get rid of my mana either, it's weird...

I'll have to check out the EJ forums for more info on gemming and gearing with the changes to shadow. I basically just stuck SP gems in everything and went to town, but maybe I should pop some SP/Haste or plain haste into my yellow sockets...
