Feral looking for new workFollow

#1 Dec 08 2009 at 5:17 AM Rating: Decent
First off, I've been a fan of this board for a few years now but have never needed to post anything, because I can usually find what I need here fairly easily. So kuddo's to all posters here.

My problem is this, I'm a casual player, I can usually get 2-4 hours a night in most nights. (These are NOT always productive hours, mind you). But I do have my main 80 druid that I LOVE. But, I feel like I've been locked into feral spec, because thats how I leveled, and thats all I really know how to play. I get bored with feral sometimes, and frankly, there isn't a high demand for a feral thats not well geared. In my limited raid runs, I have actually picked up more caster epics than for cat/bear. So, naturally, I dual-specced, but the problem is.....I have no idea what I'm doing in moonkin or tree. Are there any stickies or guides out there that can help me switch to either one of these specs, which are in way more demand on my server?

My final disability is that I work nights, and I get off work about 4am. Which means that there isn't many people on when I play. If anyone is on Onyxia that knows of a late night/early morning guild I would love to hear about it

Arex is your man when it comes to Boomkin and I am sure he will come back with some useful info, although, I think some is either in the stickied post at the top of the page or in a post probably about three pages in. I am in work so I don't get to give my posts my undivided attention and therefore cannot go searching too hard :)

The thing that I can suggest if you don't already have it is Squawk-and-awe as from I can gather is the most useful addon available.

edit: the other thing that sticks in my head is haste to 400 and then crit (if hit capped of course) but again Arex is the man for telling you the ins and outs of a Boomkin. Maybe you could also add a link to your armoury as this can be very useful.

Tree Linky

Druidsock is wise ;-). I "blah blahed" a bit in Borsuk's post too about tree stuffz, some of that may be useful if you'd like to take a look-see. *shrugs*

A lot of the potential advice beyond the stickies would be based on what you are healing, as well as gearing and your build. I'm happy to offer my opinion, but since there is such variety to druid healing strategies it's hard to do without more specifics.

Oh, and hiya and gratz on post #1! :D

Arex has written up an extremely awesome post on Moonkin. I had it open for ages when I hit 80 and it was/is very benificial.

Read it, love it, read it again, love it some more, then go pew pew.

You should try an Oceanic server, it might fit your play time better. We are GMT+10.
