A friend of mine who is doing a hunter now asked this question and I do not know the answer.
'If a 80 Hunter picks a 58 Beast, do they have to still level the pet or does it automatically go to 80'?
Hope that makes sense.

Personally i would have been more bothered by the question if the OP was a Hunter , as it has already been said i will just say get your friend to check out the stickied posts here as it sounds like he may need a decent guide.
