I appreciate that you want to make a Feral PvP thread because I've been looking forward to one. However, I suggest you use markup in your post to make it less of a wall of text.

Now for some criticism (don't take this too personal):

Quote:
DK (full DPS spec) - These's guys hit pretty hard. Luckily they don't heal for much (even blood) and you CAN out damage them. I usually fight them just like warriors.

If he's in full DPS spec then I'm guessing he's got some PvP gear as well. He might not heal as much as one in tank gear (since DK heals are based on health values), but he'll not take the same amount of damage either. And as a Blood DK I had more ways to heal myself than any other DPS class I know off, save a Priest or Druid out of their forms. Mark of Blood, Bloodworms, Death Strike, Blood Presence, Rune Tap. It really gets silly at some point.

Conclusion (based on personal experience): Beware the stare of a Blood Death Knight. They hurt and they are tough as hell to kill.

Quote:
Rogue - Just die and get it over with. They're like a feral druid, but much better. Stun, stun, blind, stun. No use.

Just die? What? Why would I just die and get it over with when I can kill him much faster?

I dueled a Rogue in PvP gear while wearing tanking gear myself, and while it was a close call each time I never lost. I have 41k health self-buffed in Bear form and 41k armor when I pop my trinket combo. I didn't even bother going stealth to see who would get the opening shot. Had I got it I would've destroyed him in seconds, but I figured I'd play it safe and stay in Bear form.

When you get attacked, usually by Cheap Shot because stunlocking is the new black when it comes to Rogues, pop Barkskin and any trinkets that might help lower damage taken. In my case I pop the Frostborn trinket which gives me 7k armor or something like that. The other trinket (Black Heart) will give me an additional 7k armor which makes me tough as nails on physical attacks. Thanks to Barkskin and the fact that Rogues have crap armor penetration on their PvP gear, you'll live through the Cheap Shot -> Kidney Shot combo. After Kidney Shot you should spam Bash and Lacerate to the best of your abilities. If successful you should move away and then Charge him. Move away again (out of Blind range) and start healing yourself and casting Faerie Fire on him. He'll probably do a Cloak of Shadows + Vanish thing, but Lacerate will kick him out of stealth regardless. Take advantage of his inability to enter stealth by going stealth yourself. Pounce + Mangle + Rake + Rip, then back into Bear form. With a couple of crits (I have 38% crit chance in my tank gear), he should be taking some semi-serious bleed damage now from Pounce, Rake and Rip. Get as many Lacerates on him as possible and make sure you apply Faerie Fire. Having Infected Wounds helps a lot because it makes it harder for him to get behind you again, messing up his stunlock.

Maybe I've only played against crap players, but I've had no issues with Rogues in duels. Even less in real PvP where they usually don't see me coming. Of course, if they get you out of Bear form, they'll own you like they own everyone else, but in Bear form I'm a brick of fur.

Lol I'm all about the criticism Mazra. So thanks for some.

The main reason I said give up on rogues is due to the fact that the ones I duel are guildies or known ones on the server, and they are VERY geared. All of them in a 1v1 situation do the same thing. Cheapshot -> eat me -> kidney shot -> eat me -> vanish -> cheapshot -> eat me -> kidney shot -> eat me -> blind -> prep -> repeat. Only having one trinket sucks lol.

I know in a arena setting I'll take a rogue over a ret or warrior (or maybe DK) any day. With my stuns and barkskin it's very easy to outlast their CDs for both me and my priest. Then they're cake.

Geared players are pretty tough regardless of their class. An Arms Warrior with massive armor penetration and a lucky trinket proc can take me down in seconds in Bear form. Rogues with lots of armor penetration are also very nasty (I really hate armor penetration). I guess, to some extent, it comes down to outgearing your opponent.

Don't Cheap Shot and Kidney Shot share diminishing returns? If not then that's pretty imbalanced since by the time your second Cheap Shot is lined up, the DR on the first is over. If they do then that would explain why I was able to break the stunlock, taking him by surprise.

Duels are almost never fair play because the game wasn't designed around 1v1 but rather group play. Rogues have a huge advantage in that they can successfully lock down someone without a stun-breaker for the entire duration of the fight. And with armor penetration in the game it negates the benefit of having additional armor to outlast the stunlock, meaning gearing for raw power is better than gearing for survival. The armor penetration gear, however, means they have low health themselves (see previous point). Not very useful if you never get a hit in, but if they mess up their stunlock, they're in for a ride.

All I can really say about Rogues is: hope they're Combat spec'd, stick to Bear and hope they mess up their stunlock.

Nice work on the markup, by the way. Smiley: thumbsup

No, kidney shot and cheap shot do not share a DR. Neither do pounce and maim. In a 1v1 situation, you can pounce > mangle > TF > shred > maim > shred > cyclone > restealth. Indefinitely. The only way to ***** it up is to leave them unstunned for a second so they can get a DoT on you. It doesn't even matter if they trinket the maim, because you can still cyclone them quickly if you are paying attention.

On the subject of DRs, Pounce and cheap shot are on the same DR. Maim and kidney shot are on the same DR as HoJ, bash, shadowfury, charge, intercept, shockwave and concussion blow. Revenge stun isn't on any DR that I'm aware of. If it is, it would probably be on the same DR as seal of justice and stoneclow totem stun. I think that's all that's relevant to any druid stuff.

Changed the rogue strat to actually have something useful. Thank Mazra for that one :)
