Feral Vs Frost MageFollow

I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips when going 1 on 1 vs a frost mage as feral. I know 1v1 doesn't mean much but it helps to know what to do vs classes in arena, especially if I get stuck in a 1v1 situation.

A good frost mage will have 3 nova's up from the start (barrier break, nova, new barrier on). Then with ice block he'll get another nova and maybe another barrier. I do ok not taking damage from shatter shifting out of nova's. But with all the slowing and blink, it's tough to do much damage to them or even build up points. I find myself running oom from all the shape shifting because I can't attack enough to regain mana. Sometimes I'll get lucky and get a instant cyclone proc early and that can help close the gap, but with blink on it's short CD I get kited all to hell most of the time.

I hate them as well. 1v1 they will kite you to hell if you can't CGD them.

SO ya that is my advice. Either GCD them or bring a friend.

Shift out of novas, charge and maim them after they blink. If you get up a rip, a good mage will ice block early to clear it. The trick is to do burst damage instead of sustained; if you have decent sustained damage, it won't matter because their shields will absorb most of it, but if you can maim and get a couple shreds off, then that's half their health at the least.
