It gets boring without you. Smiley: frown Xsarus doesn't seem to post here anymore, so everyone is always nicey-nice now.

That's because I'm of the mentality that if someone is asking a really stupid question or is too damn lazy, I put them on /ingore.

Thanks! I never even considered MM. It seems like it's been left out in the cold for so long - almost every Hunter I come across is SV these days.

Heh, I just like SV atm, even though I probably would be doing more DPS as MM. It keeps my skills honed for when I go kitty form on my druid.

Meh, so the spider wasn't too bad, but I never did get used to webbing at the right times and such.

Instead I went to Outland and got me a nice orange/black scorpion thingy. With some pet talent points put in extra aggro and such, it's not a bad pet, actually. Most of the time, if I give it a couple of seconds to use all the special things, it can hold aggro until the target dies. If it loses aggro, I've got a taunt on a 3m cooldown I can use.

Also, I'm starting to learn how to juggle Viper/Hawk to get back mana. Of course, if I'm using Viper the pet just holds aggro through it all, regardless of what I do, so that's pretty cool.

Still, having to stock up on ammo sucks. Not that I run out a lot, but I'm constantly worrying about it. To fix it I went out and bought 2k of them. That should last a day or two.

haha, I run with over 5K of regular ammo and crafted ammo. I usually restock to 10K and run it down to under 5.

Same here, 4k mammoth cutters for instancing, 1k normal arrows for questing, 1k crafted arrows in case I run out of mammoth cutters in the middle of an instance... I leveled my hunter at the very end of the "ammo pouch/quiver" era, but I heartily embraced the change to stacks of 1000 when it happened.

I run around with about 10-25k crafted ammo Smiley: blush
It's not like I do dailies or anything else so I don't need the bagspace and it's all filled with gear, consumables and ammo.

Ya think 25k ammo is enough, Aeth? Might want to get a few more, just in case. Smiley: dubious

Hell, just kidnap a Gnome engineer, stick him in your backpack, and you're good to go. Smiley: lol

Seeing how I can go through 4k in one night, I'm pretty happy with that 25k.
10k means I need to buy some saronite bars and ship em off to my engineer.

Ok, tried a wolf and while I see the min/maxxer in me crying out for more deeps, I just like the ghost kitty more. What can I say, I'm a sucker for aesthetics when I'm not progression raiding.

Yeah, see... I think it's ugly.
I really prefer looking at a wolf, or bear, or crab or spider or jyst about any other pet.

I hate that the pets get so big when they reach max level. The other day I saw a level 10 Hunter run around with a small nightsaber pet and it looked so cute. Once he reaches level 80, it'll be one huge monstrosity of an ugly thing.

Wish my scorpid would stay this size.

The demon wolves from Zul'drak stay pretty small at max level, I think there are a few others that might as well but that's the only one that I can think of off the top of my head.

Those also fall under the category of non animal pets I greatly dislike.

The good looking wolves don't get very big, and a crab always remains low profile.
Just don't get an exotic pet and pet sizes aren't that exorbitant.

Exotic as in red and black, six legs, huge pincers and a freakin' stinger attached to a jointed tail?

It's funny, because scorpions, belonging to the arachnida class, make my arachnophobia go nuts, but in-game they're just cute... err, tough! And mean! And.. and.. exotic!

I love my Wolf! Me and Togo have been together since Northrend and fought many battles together...I wouldn't give him up for the highest gearscore in the world!

Hey not to re-derail but I was lurking and noticed you all talking about crafted ammo. How much of a dps difference do you notice between the Saronite Razorheads and those epic crafted Arrows... Iceblade Arrows or something of the sort? (Ice something...) I've been using Saronite Razorheads myself since my Rogue can make them, but was feeling sort of gimpy with them the other day and thought about buying some epic ones.

Also...I carry around 25-26k of arrows as well. >.>

I made myself a nice blue level 75 quiver to hold it all though! <333

Iceblade Arrows are for maximizing your dps and are a waste of money in your daily grind sort of activities.

It will vary on each server, but right now Ice blade arrows are selling for 5 gold/1000, which makes them cheaper than vendor arrows. Or cheap enough anyways that the huge dps boost is well worth it, no matter what you are doing.
And for Norellicus, we (somewhat sadly) don't need quivers anymore, your ammo can just be stored in a regular bag. That requirement was removed many patches ago.
#49 Feb 23 2010 at 2:15 PM Rating: Good
Er, come again? I didn't say a word about quivers.

Welp, have fun finding a 28 slot bag to hold all your arrows!

Because that's what my quiver does. >.>
