Creating GlyphsFollow

#1 Nov 06 2009 at 5:26 PM Rating: Decent
Hello Everyone:

Who can create a glyph, please see my info below. I am most interested in the “Lightning Shield Rank 1” and the “Rockbiter Weapon Rank 2”. These are glyphs for Shamans. But I am confused, do I have to increase one or more of my levels and then purchase the recipe or whatever I need to make the glyph(s) I want?

Zzyzzxxq
Level 19 Orc Shaman and growing!
Level 116 Alchemy
Level 147 Herbalism
Level 82 Cooking
Level 103 First Aid
Level 128 Fishing

Alright, I'm gonna break this down.

Inscriptionists. Inscription is a profession where you make glyphs and the buffing scrolls. It uses Herbalism materials. (Flowers, etc.)

Quote:

You cannot make glyphs. But you do have Herbalism, thus if you can find someone who has Inscription, they can make it for you and give it to you.

Glyphs do not have ranks. They are all based on percents, so they work no matter the level. Here is a list of all the glyphs for Shamans.

You cannot make them. Get the materials for what you want, then go and find someone with Inscription. The common message in Trade chat is "LF Inscriptor to make <insert glyph name>, have mats, PST!" Then if you have some silver laying around, offer to tip a few coins, that helps get people interested.

From what I understand you get one glyph slot at lower levels, then two, then the full three at 80. Same thing for minors. Major slots (the bigger ones) do better things, where as the minors (smaller slots) do things that either aren't useful in combat or just save you reagents, etc.

I think you may be a little confused between the learnt spells and glyphs
Quote:
“Lightning Shield Rank 1” and the “Rockbiter Weapon Rank 2”
are learnt spells at level 8 from the Shaman trainers see this link > http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/spelllist.html?class=Shaman

To advise you better for glyphs as you did not say what talent tree you are putting points in i will link a site that i used to set up my Shaman as it should give you enough detail to work out for yourself what is needed but feel free to ask more details once you have looked at it .

http://www.wow-pro.com/book/export/html/1909 i hope the link is ok to use without breaking the link ?

Okay, I've been lurking this forum for a while now and I've got a question, not so much regarding the Shaman class, but more the people who use these forums.

What the hell is wrong with you?

sandralover came with some links, leading to a well-known site (Jame's Leveling Guide anyone?) and he/she gets rated down? And I see this trend throughout the posts on the first page here. Someone's having a blast, eh?

Well, knock it off.

Many people lurk just like you Mazra, so it's not only the users of the Shaman forum that rate up and down. It's not like Shamans are all dysfunctional rate-down bots.

As to why sandra was rated down I don't know, but it isn't a big problem - as of right now the post is back up to Decent. Post ratings change all the time, I've had Excellent's go down to Sub-D's before.

Obligatory. :3

It is ok Mazra my guess someone has taken a dislike to me and is doing that which shall not be named and camping my posts at times . My guess is they will get bored and do it to someone else soon enough as it will not stop me posting and trying to help new players .

Even if you lurk, you're still using the forum, no? That's what I meant, anyways. Originally I'd written "posters" but since I wanted to cover those who don't post as well, I changed it to "users" Smiley: tongue And it just pisses me off when people rate someone down and don't comment - at all - on why they might have done so. Not even a post disagreeing. And considering nothing sandralover wrote was wrong, I didn't get it.

Anyway, sandra's back up because I rated the post up. Smiley: grin

It's one of those things that means "If you don't like it, you can leave."

It isn't like that though, I have nothing against you Maz, post if ya want - Shaman forums are so goddamn slow. I just posted it because it 1.) relates slightly, and 2.) is hilarious.

Bummer, I was hoping you had a Segway. I've been wanting to try one of those for ages. Smiley: grin

Didn't you and I have a falling out a couple of months back? Either I grind people's nerves or I'm that happy fluffy guy who farts bubbles.

If you fart bubbles, I worry that you are putting soap into your large intestine. It should be noted that adding soap to this region of your body can inhibit the uptake of nutrients only available in the pH 10 environment provided there.

Please do NOT put soap into your butt.

It is a cool avatar, and people have asked who it is before. Some actress or model or something from Poland....or Sweden....whatever crazy country you live in.

I like the teddy bear more though. That thing is awesome.
