If you can fry it, it's dinner. If you can fry a treat, it's dessert!

Deep-Fried Twinkie

Twinkies get the hot lard treatment.

Because there can never be enough lard in a Twinkie.

I happen to love liquorice too, only I'm kind of particular. I grew up in holland where its called "drop" more specifically zoute or dubbelzoute drop which is always black (none of that red liquorice rubbish) and is very salty and sour. Love the stuff, pity I have to order it online in the uk. Same goes for biltong, love that too. Guess I'm more into the salty than the sweet.

Thanksgiving is next week. No need to be jealous when I'm that steeped in pie.

We don't have thanksgiving here.

We have Sinterklaas (StNicholas) though.
It's way cooler.

Think giving each other presents, like christmas only you pack some of them in a surprise, accompanied by a poem written for that person.
If you do it well the surprise is a mix of flattering and poking fun at the person you made it for.
Like two years ago I made my little sister a giant calculator because she's so bad at math and this would help her.
And last year I made my little brother a movie poster starring him, because he's kind of arrogant and makes a show out of everything (and to my best knowledge, it's still hanging on his wall above his bed ^^)
This year I'm making one for my dad's girlfriend, so I've been working on making an old book as a great manual for practical gifts (because she always gives stupid presents like socks and things you need or can use, which is no fun) it's been pretty cool trying to write stuff in pseudo old dutch, the poem is going to be even more fun.

Writing poems?? Americans are lazy. We don't like working that hard for presents, and we show our love with food.

Following up on your habit of quoting from movies from ancient times far before my birthyear, let me retort to that with a quote of my own, Teacake.

"You humans claim to be enlightened, yet you still consume the flesh of animals."

... O hai, Priest forum... Um, my name is Mazra and I'm a Shadow Priest. I've not healed for six levels and I really feel like I might never have to again.

Oh, who am I kidding. I'm going Disc the moment I have the cash to transfer it to my server. Smiley: sly

Wait until after the patch, it'll only be three quarters of the dps then.

Only MM is still more dps than a SV hunter too.
And I have considered going holy for a week or a few weeks to test it out.

You'll never go back. Holy rocks. Smiley: nod

I guess I'm old school, but I still like Holy for 5 mans.

I mainly use my Disc build for PVP, but once in a while I've got to bring out the Holy just because it's so darned fun.

Holy is fun, but nothing quite takes the **** like running VH and noone taking any damage at all. Think I've had it down to 15k damage taken overall for the run so far by spamming shields and poh/holy nova to keep the shields running.

Don't be silly. I live in the US South. They fry everything in pork fat here. If that's not snacks, I don't know what is. Not my fault you guys aren't close enough to the snacks.

Really? Where in the US South? 'cause I'm near the snacks, too. And the waistline shows it. :P

NC. But I'm a Northeasterner by birth - we rush around like hummingbirds all the time and that keeps the weight off. Imagine my posts, except out loud, really fast, and never stopping. That's how annoying I am in person.

Maybe I should fry the holiday cookies in pork fat, whaddyasay? Smiley: nod

Sounds familiar. Half my family's from New England, the other half is from the Deep South, and I'm stuck in Virginia. :P Nothing says Thanksgiving like a fresh, handstuffed kielbasa, homemade horseradish sauce and some pork cracklins. Smiley: nod As for the talking, that's a typical Yankee. IRL, I like to annoy those kind of folks by talking even slower than normal. Drives my neighbour (and my cousins from NE) up the wall. Which, I guess, why it's so much fun. Smiley: grin

Yankees suck.

Yeah I know what "Yankee" means in that context, but it's a reflex response when I hear the word, kind of like those things you say in Church automatically on cue.
