I could tell a long story about why I am asking this, but may be you can just answer?))
Which class is the best pair for a shaman (enhancement)? For playing in party and doing mostly pve stuff?

Best pair? As in, just two people? I'm going to go ahead and guess that you'll be doing things like questing together, 2-manning 5 man quests, 2-manning 5 man instances, farming, etc.

To do things like that, a tank would be good. Enhancement Shaman DPS is bursty and quick sometimes. They also have healing spells, unlike a Rogue. A Warrior is a good tank, but lacks any spells. Two hybrids would do good together in just a group of two.

I'd suggest a Protection Paladin. Great single and AoE tanking skills, healing spells, excellent buffs, Judge/Seal, and Prot Paladin's can actually do some decent DPS as well.

Overall, the two classes compliment eachother well.

You guessed right =) Exactly this kind of stuff.
Well, yes, I also thought about pala, still I'm a bit tired of him already. Thank you for your answer, but... Maybe there is some other class who could be a good company for a shaman? If no, then the paladin will be my choice =)

Well like I said, 2-man 5 man quests, 2-man 5 man instances, you need a tank. A Druid could be good, but if he's tanking, he can't heal also. The Enhancement Shaman can heal, but only for so long...Pala works good because then both can heal.

But with the Druid he can shift out and heal, plus they also have good buffs....but the shifting thing is the problem.

Ultimately you could do a Warrior also, just they have less utility because of lack of spells and less buffs. And I mean Protection Warrior, 2 DPS would have trouble with the 5 man instances and quests.

For farming, 2 DPS is the way to go, though it's still very good to bring a tank and a DPS to farm, it's about equal. In my opinion, Protection Paladin is the best partner, mainly because a Hunter/Warlock pet can't tank the hard stuff, you need a player tank for that.

Death Knight is an option though....they are almost Paladin's. They give some buffs and can heal, mostly themselves, but a Blood Death Knight can stay alive very well. When healers die in 5 man Heroics, oftentimes I can live on my own unless there is some kind of hard-hitting spell that I can't use AMS for.

That covers the 4 tanks....and I also mentioned double DPS, good for farming and questing, but hard for the 5 man quests and instances. And Enhancement Shaman plus a healer wouldn't work out so much, I wouldn't consider it really.... If your partner ends up Priest/Druid/Shaman/Paladin, then they can offspec heals.

Ultimately? I'd pick Protection Paladin. But don't just trust me, let some other posters weigh in their opinions also, and after that there's also you that needs to think about it, don't just completely utilize our opinions.

My opinion: protection paladin by far. By very far.

If your partner cares for any other class/talentspec though: anything works really, but protection paladin gives you the best partner you can wish for. (not too mention the fun it is playing one!)

Prot pally is indeed very fun to gorup with, me and my hubby can take on almost anything that way. :D (Of course he's got gear to the point where he mostly doesn't need heals anyway...)

Ret pally is also good, has more damage and instant heals similar to Enhancement, not the same survivability but then it's generally not necessary (that is, anything requiring your buddy to be uncritable is probably not something you're going to be duoing) and has a bit more CC.

If by best friend we're talking who I would be most likely to insist on having with me in a raid, though, I would say a nice cuddly feral druid. I <3 that extra 5% crit!

Like Cestin said, it depends on your goals.

Two people running around and speed leveling through questing/etc. really doesn't require any special combos. A plate wearing partner with no heals is just as good as a cloth wearing caster with heals... Each class will help in their own way.

For example:

Sham/Priest = Mana effcient group loaded with healing abilities and fear.
Sham/Rogue = Bursty team with Shamy heals to help speed up rogue down time. Rogue stuns to quickly knock down mobs.
Sham/Pally = Bursty team with AOE and tanking possibilities.
Sham/War = Tough team. Shamy heals speed up downtime.
Sham/Mage = Control team with AOE and tons of DPS.
Sham/Pet Class = Similar to mage, but with pet to speed target progression and more mana efficient.
Sham/Druid = Same as /mage, /Rogue, /War, but with HoTs.
Sham/Sham = Shamwow!

Two people trying to take on elites or 2-man instances (as stated) would really need a tank. Paladin tanks (Without outside help) are simply the most survivable tanks. (They prove this by AOE Grinding) My guess would be that this combo would be the best, but Druids and Warriors are also excellent choices.

I like the shammy/druid team. but then my two mains is shaman and druid:)

If feral and enhancement: both have buffs, you kill things so fast they don't know what hit em. and if things go bad druid can tank and shammy heal.

If balance and elemental: you still have buffs and you still kill fast and druid can sort of tank in chicken:)

And with dual specc you can have one dps each and druid can have tank specc and shammy can go resto. That way you can always get a group for almost anything:)

But then again i like druid and shaman:)
