Great Mage add on I really recommendFollow

Mage Nuggets

Seriously, it's freaking awesome. It helps you monitor SS-able buffs, your procs, your Spell power (which for Arcane mage with IA, is pretty nifty seeing your SP break 4k), sends whispers to people you FM or who FM you, etc.

Just thought I'd share with all my fellow mages. Smiley: inlove

I saw that on the wowinterface page last week and haven't messed with it yet, I'm still loving my combo of scorchio2 and powerauras :-). May give it a shot this raid week though.

You definitely should Anobix. It's pretty useful during Jaraxxus for SS the dmg buff he has (although DBM also yells at you to dispel it), but it's REALLY useful doing the Champions fight for SS. If you already use Scorchio and Power Auras I can see how it might not be quite as useful to you, but honestly I'd recommend downloading it just for the SS watch.

I have to added my agreement about it. Since I started using it I'm spellstealing stuff in heroics I didn't even know was available and on the Jarxus fight it's an easy way to see that all stacks have been taken.

Yeah I've been doing that too. I'll tell you it makes the Confessor a much easier fight. You can see whenever renew pops up on her or the nightmare and just take it off, making both of them go down much faster. Too bad you can't SS her bubble. =x

That would be awesome...mage tank!

I tried it out on wednesday and thursday. Can't say that I used it very much, to be honest. Most of the features are already in Scorchio2 and for the spellsteal warnings I already know when to SS on Jaraxxus and faction champs I do it when I have time to do so. The only thing I liked was the real-time spellpower/crit/hit/haste window but I can get that in a lot smaller package.

Well, if you're only doing ToC, I can see how it might not be as useful. But if you do heroics on a fairly regular basis, or other raids, or if you're a new mage it's a pretty handy add on for the SS box.

Speaking of Spellsteal, my Xperl seems to be bugged, it shows spellstealable buffs with a little moving outline like a cut and paste box (hard to describe I know !) but seems to be randomly moving the outline away from the actual icon. Like, I'll see the icon for Nether Power on Jaraxxus, but the little outline will sometimes be 1-2 inches above or to the side- anyone know what causes this?

Eh question about magenugget:

Every time I cast Focus Magic on someone it will give an automatic Whisper to the target: "Focus Magic Cast On You"

Is there any way I can turn the auto-whispers off? Lots of guildy's are whining about these wispers and got me on Ignore haha.

I cant seem to find where/how to do that.

Installing Mage Nuggets meant that I could delete Scorchio2 (which had stopped showing my MB procs) and also PowerAuras, which kept proccing ui error messages whenever I went to put up a target.

I find it nice and simple - hope it continues to be developed.

There's a messages tab at the bottom of the MageNuggets screen where you can change/delete all the messages. Mine started off rude but soon got changed when I realised I wasn't being very polite to all sorts of people on different servers when pugging instances hehe

How do I enter that messages tab, cuz I can't find a link (in game) to it, like I do find a link for example DBM around my minimap.

Or do I enter that through C/Worldofwarcraft/addons (not in game) and check my addon-list?

just do /magenuggets I believe and go under the messages section it should be there. Or hit esc -> interface -> addons section and find it there to edit the settings. I have it on there to remind my fellow mages if I need FM and it thanks them for it as well.

Cheers Anobix, I'll give it a try tonight. You always help out so good, thumbs up! :D

And yeh, I'd love to keep the message on as well, personally I don't get the whining of some of my guildy's.... Its only just a whisper and if gives an excellent message where any caster should get happy from!

Yeh, found it last night, typ: /magenugget options

There you can adjust at will.

Downloaded this to try it out while leveling. It's good, but there are three things I wish it would do that it doesn't (only one actually would affect gameplay).

1. The stats window will show debuffs like Winters Chill on the target, upping your crit when targetting them accordingly, but it doesn't add 50% when they are frozen and you have Shatter. Doesn't matter in the end, but still wish it would for cosmetic reasons.

2. You can't click the Poly timer to target that mob. No clue if you can do this with any other ones, and I don't know if it is realistically possible without the addon using your focus to do it, but it would be nice when you are moving a lot and your group has a lot of mobs running around.

3. Would love an interface to conjure/use food. May not matter once you just use strudel, but having to update my macro to use both (so they don't use two action bar buttons) is kinda annoying. It would be great if I could just click it's minimap icon and start using my highest level conjured food.

Small things, though. I have yet to experience most features, since I'm still only 45, but I love the port menu. I hated having to scroll through my spell book (though I suppose I could have just put them on a different cast bar).

For the food thing I liked to use cryolysis before we had strudels. it has configurable buttons (as big or small as you like) and all on a simple circle that you can use for food/water/etc and I believe it auto-updates whenever you learn a new one. Left click for food, right click for water iirc.

Just recently started playing my Mage again ( resting my Druid through 79 ), and DL'd this add on at your suggestion.
Two words. Very nice. I especially like the spell steal prompt. Worked great in regular ToC 5 on that annoying mage champion; ripped off her haste buff, and started casting like mad.

Still getting used to Arcane after being die-hard Frost through most of my career. My poor mage is behind the curve on gear as he has been sitting idle for months; but, finally getting a few pieces here and there.

Great add on recommendation, thank you, Pigtails.
