I'm going to go back and get some of the BC heroic dungeon achievements. Just for fun I want to try to solo them. What kind of bear stats are recommended for this(hp/dodge etc).
Also, can a bear druid solo Anzu. I want my mount :)

I typically do this in bear spec with my cat gear on. That said I'm all t8/t9 level geared for both specs. I have no problem with any of it including Anzu who I do daily and now at 84 tries still have not gotten the mount....
Good question. I myself would like to get the BC achievements. i tried soloing reg Sethh Halls and had a hell of a time doing so. can old BC dungeons be soloed as a boomkin? my armory is linked in my sig. thanks!
key thing to remember is that you only have to kill 1 boss for the achievement and that's the final boss.
You can stealth all the way to the end, clear any trash right next to the boss and then nuke the boss for the win.
As boomkin you might have to hot the hell out of yourself and pop all your cooldowns to do this, I dunno. Have never tried it boomie.

Feral is the way to go.
I was getting a boost from a boomkin not long back and she was taking a load of damage. A feral stepped in and things went smooth from there. The problem is that anything that hit hard back in the day still hits hard now so avoidance and mitigation still play their part.

Also, with some decent Feral gear, your health should be double that of a Moonkin and while your armor rating is pretty much like in Bear form, you lack the survivability of Improved Leader of the Pack which should heal you for 4% of your maximum health every 6 seconds (with a decent crit rating).
The moment you shift out of Moonkin form to heal, you'll get beat to a bloody pulp by whatever's hitting you.

I have plans to try this as well (solo heroic level 70 dungeons), but I need better feral gear. Some day, though!
Also, what head enchants are available. Is the best one the Knights of Ebon Blade one, or is there something better?

Just to voice the counterpoint, I've done all but H-MgT in cat spec with a set of bear gear on, so either way works.
Honestly, I'd say the trash pulls are frequently tougher than the bosses, just because you have so man things beating on you at once.

Yesterday I decided to try and solo my Kara key. I got the Steamvault key without any problem thanks to stealth. Then I started on the quest chain for the Arcatraz key. I soloed my way through Botanica and Mechanar without stealthing because I wanted the faction. Last night I went back to try to solo Arcatraz and made it all the way to the final room but could not get past the Meteor ability of the fiery infernals.
I know my gear is not the best (especially for bear form) since it's built with general world pve in mind (quest and daily grinding). Am I missing the obvious or do you really need more than 20k health and 21k armor to get past those guys? The first meteor hit me for over 15k and the second one wiped me out.
I used a potion and my herbalism heal (love that you can use that without shifting out of bear form) after the first big meteor, but it was not nearly enough healing to get me in a position to survive the second meteor. Ouch!

I've soloed every heroic TBC 5-man, so... yeah, my gear suffices.
And that was before I got any 226 gear. Check out Aureliano on Sen'Jin (US) if you want to see my stuff.
Long story short, if you have your "epic" achievement with feral gear, you should be fine.

Those guys suck. You need to kill them before they get more than three meteors off. Barkskin the first one, potion + Lifeblood the second, and survival instincts the third (if you have full rage pop Frenzied Regen). After that you're pretty much in trouble unless you get lucky and dodge one. They're a combination DPS + high health fight.
!@#$%, totally forgot to barkskin myself! I hadn't needed it the whole way through any of the dungeons to that point, but yeah I should have used it in that fight.
There's another guildie that wants to run the instance with me, so I think we'll just go duo it next time we're both on. Then one of these days I'll go back and solo it. Thanks!

Took me 52 tries and I constantly griped to my guildies about it. Methinks I'll shut up now and wish you luck!
As for how to do it, I agree, cat gear/bear spec is how I do most of my solo runs. (Raids included, such as AQ20, ZG, and Kara) Once you have a good bear set you actually end up taking more damage because you have so little rage to use. The fights last longer and you have less rage based tools. (Frenzied regen/SI with no rage doesn't do much.)
87 tries and still no mount for me :(

You do the epic flight quest chain, get given an item that summons Anzu. Defeat him/her/it hand the final quest in and then go back to that quest giver in Zangarmarsh the next day (or anytime after the instance has reset) and you are given the key that will stay permanently on your keyring forever and a day.
edit: can't look at your armoury due to an error (stupid work comp) when trying to load it up.

You get an item to summon him as part of the quest chain. When you finish the chain you get to keep the item :)
As mentioned people have solo'd it in bear, I haven't heard anything about the other forms however. I'm still sitting on the last phase of the quest myself, I don't have the rep to get into the herioc yet, and I've gotten distracted farming rep for the netherwing ;-)

I think this is why I chose to do the Netherwing first. At least I know after a couple weeks I'll have the mount, no crappy RNG!

Oh I won't give up. I do it as part of my daily runs, I do daily heroic, daily jc and then anzu and then decide where I wanna go from there.

I've got 35,600 health unbuffed in Bear form, 28k armor, 23 expertise (not rating) and 36% dodge chance. And some 4,400 attack power, I think.
