My paladin (ret/prot) hit 71 the other day and I had the chance to put him through a Nexus pug. Had a good time, I love the way ret puts on a good light show. :)

Anyway I found it a little frustrating since, coming from a feral kitty, I'm used to watching the target's portrait and hitting my abilities depending on what debuffs are about to expire. Apart from checking beserk or tiger's fury I barely need to look at my bars, which means I spend most of my time watching the action around me.

I'm not sure if it was just me getting used to the Ret rotation in dungeons or not, but while running Nexus I found myself checking my bars a lot more to see when I could hit Crusader Strike, Divine Storm, etc.... end result, I found it harder to keep an eye on what was going on.

At the moment I'm running the default UI. If possible I'd like my timers up around eye level so I don't have to keep looking down to the bottom of the screen. Anyone care to recommend a good Ret pally UI?

Get S.H.I.T., it'll help keep your eyes on the screen.

Thanks for the addon tip btw.. I've just dual-specced into ret, playing Ret for the first time in 2 years. This is a great help!
