I'm a raiding Boomkin who's a bit stuck gearwise. With my guild, I've cleared TOC10, TOC25, Ulduar10 and we're practicing at Yogg-Saron 25 man as we speak. We have our first TotGC10 planned next sunday. So as you can see, I have access to decent gear to improve myself, but I am a bit stuck at choosing. This is me and my gear I'm a tad hit undercapped, but nothing a Draenei can't solve for me :P Critwise I feel I'm ok. Not too many problems proccing Eclipse. Haste is a bit low for my taste, but that's also because I looted Argent Resolve yesterday, which replaced my Torch of Holy Fire, which had a good amount of haste on it. I still need to enchant my wrist and cloak, and replace some rare gems though.
I am aware of the fact that - at least until ilevel 258 T9 - a combination of T8.5 and T9 is the best, because of the 2setbonus T8.5 gives. So I set myself the goal to procure 2 Trophy of the Crusade. One I looted a few weeks ago, which I used to buy Shoulders. The other I looted last sunday, but now I have no idea what piece to buy from it.
The T9 trousers only have hit, as secondary stat next to SP, which I don't really need. The Headpiece has a lot of hit as well, but at least it also has crit rating to replace the crit rating on my current Head item. Chest and gloves: No can do, because those slots are taken by T8.5 Another option would be, to get the T8.5 headpiece (which is easily accessible) so I can replace either my T8.5 chest or gloves with T9.245. So far I've had no luck with drops to get T8.5 trousers, and shoulders will be available only when we down Yoggie :) What should I do? And is there any other gear that is accessible by me, that I should be aware of?

Ideally you want the shoulders and the pants for t8.5.
The other two slots you will fill with what works best for you.
You're gear looks fine to me, just enchant your stuff. You're sitting at all the right numbers.

Thanks for the answer Arex! (I was hoping you'd respond :)) So, Shoulders and pants then. Exactly the two T8.5 I don't have hehehe. Let's hope my guild downs Yogg25 this week, and that Freya drops my pants next week then. I see that you're wearing two pieces T9. Is the 2 setbonus working out well for you?

I'm gonna make the switch to 4 piece next tuesday when I get the rest of my emblems.
I'll be rocking 3 245 and 1 232. But I'll be replacing my chest soon following that. We don't really have a shortage when it comes to trophies since we're running 25 man toc two times.
I just need to either get my 10 man heroic version of my staff, or a 245 MH weapon. My sp is pretty low now considering.
I'm gonna make the switch to 4 piece next tuesday when I get the rest of my emblems.

So is it ever worth giving up the 2pT8 bonus as it stands right now? From what I can tell from using Rawr using 4pT9 is a DPS loss compared to 2pT8 + 2pT9.

no it's not worth it, the next to last post on the bored druid thread is Arex stating it's not if you wanna go check that out or you can wait for him to reply here too :P
Thanks! We have another Moonkin applying to our guild and he is wearing 4pT9. I wrote on his app it probably isn't ideal and I just wanted to make sure I was in the right.
Most likely you won't be switching out of 2p t9 until 3.3 comes out.
4 piece t9 isnt bad, I'm not saying using it is gonna just destroy your dps.
You have to understand that you need some pretty good off set gear to pull you through the 2t8 bonus because it really is that good.
If you're sitting at like 2900 spell power self buffed in moonkin form and over 34% crit (arbitrary numbers here folks) you're gonna have a much less harder time than sitting at something like 2400 spell power self buffed and 29% crit.
You're starfires do tend to hit quite a nice amount harder, but for me I've found its just easier to use the 2t8. Now to get my guild to go back and start doing yogg2 and yogg1 so I can get the shoulders.
