Hey there, I just dinged 80 a few days ago.. and I have some questions.
This is my first 80, and I still have some bad gear but aside from that I have no idea what to spend my badges on

I have 33 Emblems of Conquest and 8 Emblems of Triumph, what should I buy with them?
What are some good professions that will net me some money, but will also be useful? (I have no flying at all :()
What rep should I grind for? I know Ebon Blade or whatever for the boots, but after that then what?

Any other general advice will be nice :)

-Thanks

First I would get a flying mount + training. It means a gold grind, but it's probably the most important thing you can buy right away. I'm assuming since you're 80, you managed to find the goblin who loans you a flying mount for a while right? Because if someone leveled to 80 with nothing but a land mount I'd be impressed..

Use the loaned flying mount to finish all of storm peaks and icecrown, or at least finish enough to buy your own mount. Then people won't laugh you out of Naxx runs in the future (nobody wants to be the person getting laughed at in a raid because you can't afford a normal flying mount).

I'd strongly suggest going for epic flying after you buy normal (5000g) it makes farming/life just so much easier and it's the best purchase you can buy.

After mount, keep running heroics. You didn't say what spec you want to play..I assume ret? If you go ret, pick up gear with strength/AP/crit/hit etc, don't wear tanking pieces. Use emblems to fill in slots you're having bad luck finding items for. The pieces you buy first generally depend on what you're already wearing, I like to replace my crappiest pieces first. Other people go straight for tier gear. Armory is down for me right now so I can't tell what gear you're already wearing.

Armory isn't working for me either but since you asked about both money and professions here is a really really generic tip. Skinning and mining will make you cash, not so much the skinning (it's really only good for pocket money and the squeezing the last gold out of a fair number of the mobs you kill) and oddly enough you will make more money selling Mithril, Thorium and the Outland ores than you will the Northrend stuff (save maybe Titanium, but you'll want an flier to go after that anyway). While the bonuses of gathering skills are that great some extra crit and hit points aren't horrible awful things.

They have cut the price of regular flying and if you pick up the training at Honor Hold or Thrallamar it's based on your Stormwind/Orgrimar rep, so swing back through regular Azeroth and do some quests to get those to exalted, epic flight training cost 5k, but with a 20% rep discount that becomes a much more manageable 4k.

Since you are talking about the Ebon Blade boots I'm assuming you are a retadin in which case work on Ebon Blade and Sons of Hodir, after that it depends on what you want. Wyrmrest and Argent Crusade for Tanking gear, Kirin Tor for better deals in Dalaran (Have exaltued with them makes getting repairs there much less painful).

Now that Armory is back up...

Here's a list of weak items:

Belt
Legs
Trinket
Libram

You want to replace those ASAP, grats on that banner tho, that can be hard to get ahold of at times. Seems like you missed Brewfest, sadly. You could have gotten one just like it.

Your Body and Helm are already purple, and actually fairly good ones to start out with, so I wouldn't jump straight to t8.5 right away; you could keep running heroics and doing the dailies as often as you can for more Triumph Emblems.

Hmm. I recommend getting a Libram first; you can be certain you're not going to get a libram anywhere but a vendor, get the conquest emblem one that helps you do more damage (you can just tell which librams are meant for which).

Once you do that, there's a necklace available for 19 Conquest emblems, that's pretty easy to get.

After that, you can save up emblems for a Valor-Emblem BoE wrist (you might also get lucky and see one on the AH, but they are usually expensive. I got lucky and found one for 1800g).

For Legs, run H-UK every day until Ingvar the Plunderer drops his legs. They are purple with 2 gems lots, very nice legs for a DPS. There's also an OK belt in there too (from Keleseth, the first boss), most likely better than the one you're using now.

i will not add much to the above as it was very conclusive , just wanna say that you need to stack more strength in all your gear i see rings are agility and stamina try to replace then at later stages also enchants can be very helpful to increase your dps (attack power all the way ) , your gemms are not bad always gem for str then str then str :D , unless you are restricted by the socket colour.

also i see that you don't have any points in SotP (seal of the pure ) in the holy tree , you should have that remove the points you put in divinity and put them in Sotp

again flying is not an option you should work on at least getting normal flying steed, many places cannot be reached withoput a flying stead so you don't want to be left out

i recomend mining as a momney making profession it kept me happy so far :D , and it is not hard to level up

good luck :D
