hello everyone..I've come yet again to humble myself before you in asking for your advice lol. My shaman is now lvl 70 and is currently dualspecced for enhancement/elemental. I plan to have one spec for Restoration when I get to 80 but I am stumped on what to do for my other spec. Which spec(ele or enh) would be more beneficial in instances/raids/etc etc. I enjoy playing both equally..and that makes it even more difficult lol. I am not worried about having several sets of gear and such..I am just curious as to what you all feel is the more beneficial spec.
Any information would be appreciated, thank you all very much in advance.

The better spec is whichever one you enjoy more and play better. Elemental and Enhancement both bring some very nice buffs to a raid. Elemental is great in a caster-heavy raid, Enhancement in great in a melee-heavy raid, and if you can have one of each along everyone will be pretty happy.

Elemental Shamans seem more common than Enhancement on my server, but it's quite possible yours is different.

I would say, go Ele because in the beginning it is easyer you to gear up with dual speck.
You can use your healer gear for DPSing too.

I tested to gear up as Ecnahnt/Resto but for me it did not work so well.
Then I changed to Ele/Res and I can do now about 2,5 - 3k dps for training dummy(self buffed) with mostly healer geared.
That is not too much, but now I can dps hc runs(and Naxx) without complains for my dps :)

That works for me, other might have different experience offcourse.

Edit:
Forgot to say, when DPSing with healer gear I seems to have endless mana :)

most resto shammies (including me) have an ele offspec because all they need to do is swap out a couple of +hit pieces. if you want to be different go enhance but it'll be harder to get appropriate gear.
