wow!
how incredibly funny!

One person calls me a homophobe, and the very next poster insinuates I'm gay.

Well, one of you is right.

Our guild is called "That Kind of Orc"... and for good reason.

You should listen to your own advice.

You shouldn't post pointless comments?

If you really want to take people to task, at least do so for those who are making all the negative comments.

And that, dear friends, is the end of my involvement in this far-too-O-boards thread.

Thanks for demonstrating that Allakhazam has its moments. I'll have a nice private chuckle about it whenever I read posts here that comment on how "awful" the O-boards are, and how much better it is here.

It's not pointless just because you don't get the point.

I made a joke, in jest. I wasn't taking anyone to task; if I was going to take someone to task, they would know. You then emo-posted about it because I guess you didn't like it. I then pointed out that this is ironic given the fact that you were just chastising Jenovaomega for doing the same thing (in your mind).

Lighten up.

To be honest, Jenova, you're striking a bit too many nerves at the moment.

The guy's asking if there aren't any level 75+ chest pieces in the game that aren't vests and you replied with:

Quote:
there isn't.. so stop role playing and play the game properly :P

Even though you did include a tongue smiley, you just managed to diss roleplayers in one hit right there. And reading on, you don't exactly stop.

Chill, man. This isn't the Hunter forum.

pants vest look rediculous... on the odd occasion that you can find a pair you can wear...well no offence but chances are the stats will suck... if you want to wear something stupid like that at some point, then go to the low level dungeons, farm for some sh*tty clothing from there that looks how you want and wear that around IF/ORG while you roleplay... LOLz

While I'll agree with you on the look of pants on a magic user, I'll take the opposite stand on roleplaying. Every time that you say "I'm hearthing to Dal..." YOU ARE roleplaying. If you weren't you'd say "My toon is hearthing to Dal...". It's easy to do, and it's fun. So what you are doing with all your posts is poking fun at other's fun, while roleplaying yourself. Any time you post something like "my rotation is..." instead of "my warlock's rotation is...", you become a hypocrite.

no, saying "i, taoquitok lord of darkness, am hearthing to dalaran" would be roleplaying... just saying "im hearthing" is people using the english language in a normal way.. you're not presuming that you are the toon, there is a presumed premise that you are playing your toon, and so saying "i am hearthing" is refering to you using your toon to do said action

heck going by your logic.. im roleplaying right now because im refering to myself as being my allakhazam account... which is obvious bullcrap :P

Actually, the hunter forum has, of late, been considerably more polite than most of this discussion.
This is actually the first time I see such rampant disdain for RPers on Allakhazam.
It's pretty sad.

Considering what the acronym MMORPG represents, it's odd to see such discrimination.

the RP in MMORPG is just a relic.. very few people actually play their role anymore.. instead they just play their toon and the closest thing to 'their role' would be to do what their class does (and well it's kinda hard to do anything else :P )...

RPing is a dead relic from the days of dungeons and dragons :P

Yes there is. You're insulting an entire community of WoW players, and sticking an emote at the end of your sentence doesn't make it less insulting. If RPing was outdated, Blizzard would never have created any RP servers or PvP-RP servers. Yes it's a smaller community than the PvE and PvP players, but it's still there.

If you think RPing is stupid or lame fine, you have a right to that opinion. You don't need to share it though. Keep your discriminatory opinions to yourself.

Honestly, I think this all started because he didn't like the way his toon looked, not because he was role playing per se. We've all had it, these shoulders look like crap, damn pink robe, this helm make me look retarded. However, we usually upgrade past it while leveling or from dungeon/raid/bg gear so it's not that big of a deal.

The problem is that you won't upgrade from a robe to shirt and pants, like it or not we are stuck with robes. There was a time I didn't like it either, my guy had stayed in shirt and pants leveling up and then at 60 I ended up with the dreadmist robe. I wasn't a fan but it was an upgrade. I have worn robes ever since except for a few short times, and once I got used to robes the shirt/pants combo looked like crap.

Basically, give robes a chance. You might not like them right away as your toon has always worn something else, but it fits with how spell casters have always looked. For whatever reason it looks appropriate and bad-*** for someone draining the soul of another creature of making it rain fire to have a robe on.

which brings me back to an earlier comment of mine.. get a wow model editor hack so that you can make your ****** clothes look good

Jenova... some people do RP. Blizzard knows this and so should you. Their are RP servers for WoW to prove it.

Say hello to my spandex-wearing freakshow.

I'm farming for the heirloom robe so I can look at him again. Seriously, did they have to match that shirt and those pants? And did they have to use a "slim" model for it? Urgh.

possibly, but i know alot of people who done that and still do and still have yet to be banned or called up on it in any shape or form..

you asked for advice about the looks of the game.. well seeing as you're a clothie who doesn't like cloth, you're kinda ****** from the outset.. be it for 'raping' another players toon in the back of the knights quarters on a dark dreary night or getting banned for model editing.. you'll eventually end up banned... hehe ^^
#47 Oct 19 2009 at 6:40 PM Rating: Excellent
That's why I said "most likely" brainiac. It violates the ToS, so you can get banned for it. Whether or not Blizzard catches you and bans you, is an entirely different story.

it's not even most likely.. the better modding programs are pretty much untraceable if used correctly

It's still very bad form that you would make the suggestion to a user here to do something that violates the ToS and would put their account at risk. I don't care how difficult it is for Blizzard to detect the program.

I'm vaguely recalling the internet meme about arguing with idiots. I'll be stopping now.

For a moment i thought i was in the Hunter forum ?

what,s with all the fighting guys/girls ?

The OP asked a simple question and it went completely off the track even offering illegal mods as an answer ? .

Thankfully there are at least a few here that always stay calm and try to calm it down , i like this board most of the time because of them otherwise i would never have learnt as much as i have from them .

So a big thanks to the staff and to some of the best posters i have seen on any of the boards.

Eh, how?

I believe the Warden program still works, so the moment you log on and the Warden compares your offline files to that of the server files, it'll know you've edited them. Perhaps Blizzard can't be ***** to deal with such minor issues when there are larger fish to fry, but there's a very high possibility you'll get your account flagged, meaning strike one. Two more strikes (and sometimes just one) will send you flying out of there like a Gnome with a pair of malfunctioning rocket boots.

Model editing was made illegal for a reason. Otherwise I'd edit the Warsong Gulch flag model to a dancing leprechaun and lauch my *** off every WSG.
