Trinket Troubles!Follow

Well thanks to Brewfest I got the neat Ancient Pickled Egg. A night in ToC got me Tears of the Vanquished.

Well the other night I knocked out Ony10 for this which pairs with this amazing trink for an outstanding bonus. But in the meantime, I just knocked out OS10+1 and got the dragon figurine.

Does this Figurine beat out the Egg's 98 SP as Disc Priest? If not, does it beat the Tears?

Egg is a solid 98 SP and a mediocre Haste(I really don't need more haste) vs a HUGE mp chunk(1449) with a 500mp on cast chance.

To me it comes down to basically 160 Spirit vs 98 SP.

Not sure at all what to pick.

I'd pick the Egg for holy and the Tears for disc. If you don't have access to the Spark of Hope, you might want to try and get the Soul Preserver by the way - It's BiS for holy and 3th or 4th BiS for disc.

The egg is the same as the badge gear one. I feel the same as you do regarding the haste. It is a pure throughput trinket. (It might be fun to use both eggs and see how they work together!)

TotV is a great efficiency trink with a bit of crit from the int. The proc is comparable to the IED meta proc. It is 100 mana less with the same Internal CD (45 seconds), but the percentage rate is higher, so you may see more procs from the TotV on longer fights.

The figurine is pure spirit =/. I might consider it with holy, but as far as raiding regen for Disc, I would pass, the int alone on the TotV will net you better regen.

Egg and TotV, I would suggest. I used the egg for the longest time despite hemming and hawing about the associated haste. Then again, I had quite a few losing rolls on trinks. "7"s are not exactly lucky in WoW.

I am really interested to find out what the cauterizing heal is from those Ony trinks. I don't know enough about them to really make a suggestion. They mp5 one seems useful enough, a mini Renew from the other may help in constant damage fights. Together, they have a nice all-around punch.

Keep all of them.

Trinkets are a great way to make changes to your gear based on the fight. I learned this while tanking, same thing applies for healing.

Long fight and mana issues? Mp5 trinkets and man procs please.

Need big heals for spike damage? SP trinkets or crit will help.

Need to heal more people faster? Haste trinkets are your friend.

Keep all of them. Use as needed.

Thanks everyone.

I used TotV and Dragon for ToC10 (yes in that gear I main healed ToC10) and it was amazing. Due to shielding EVERYONE during FC/TV/Anub I had 10 stacks with 823mp5. I was never even low, and if I had to SPAM I tossed out Fiend.

So keeping all.

As for the OMGWTF trinket mentioned, I would kill for it but this is my alt-alt so guild would never run her. It's all about PuGs. Got to Anub and Pally healer said "Wife home. gtg" and logged mid fight. Joys.

Here's to next week!(and new boots this week :D)

Hang on, which one? The Soul Preserver drops from non-heroic Culling of Stratholme.

The Spark of Hope. The other is blue. I personally know how good it is but it's hard enough getting people to overlook my DPS gear in my Healing set lol. They ignore the fact I healed through OS10+1, Uld10, VoA10/25, Ony10, and TotC10 fully... even with my EPIC GREEN WAND!(0/9 on H AN wand)

Good luck on that one buddy, took me about 20 runs to get that one. Needless to say, I replaced it by one from naxx the day I got it.

Smiley: disappointed I cry sad, sad tears for you.

My other priest has the wand from Naxx. I wish you could pay a fee to make it BOA. Smiley: lol There always has to be one slot that's just hard to fill.

For me, it was shoulders. Nothing would drop for me! I ended up going from the ones from H ToC (5) to my T9.25 ones I bought with a crapload of badges and a trophy.

Biggest. Upgrade. Ever.
