Talent help pleaseFollow

I am debating between putting my talent points into either Imp aspect of the hawk and thick hide from the BM tree, or lethal shots and either careful aim or mortal shots from the MM tree, any suggestions? Thank you.

A shame i seemed to have missed Yuppley,s post but it must have been nasty.

To the OP you asked an impossible question without enough details in your question.

Try to add at least your level and possibly a link to your armoury ? and fill out a little about what you intend to be doing next time as its an impossible question with no real details.

As Aethien has already said take a look at the top sticky posts as they are pretty good and then come back with more details if you still do not understand.

Alright, I apologize. I am only at level 15, but after seeing the talents in the other 2 trees, I thought it may be interesting to try something other than BM. I know it is the "fastest" leveling spec for hunters, but I worry because it relies too much on the pet. I know the pet is a staple of the class, but I thought a little variety may be good. So far I put 5 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk and one in thick hide. I was wondering if it was feasible to put my points instead into (5) points into lethal shots, and the other point into Improved hunter's mark.

I am sorry if I offended people by asking this question here, I had read the post at the top of the page, but was just looking for a bit more depth. I know it is still very early in my leveling career, and I love the hunter because of the variety of partners you can tame, and really, compared to the other classes, leveling one is very relaxing. I can level and also focus on mining, skinning, first aid, and cooking. Well anyway, thank you. Also, I didn't put my armory because I have so few points, and not really any special armor so if you still think it will help, I will put it up, thank you.

You should focus on BM until you get to the end of the tree, then start putting points in MM.

I think you basically answered your question in your latest post, your only 5, you have 6 points to spend. You really can't go too wrong at 15, you can put points helter skelter and it still wouldn't make too much of a difference at 15, just try and follow a tree, or read posts about how you should spend your points when leveling. It's not that difficult to find.

Never worry about asking for help. That is part of what the forums are here for. Yes, we have FAQs written by some of our more knowledgeable posters (Aethien, ohmikegod and others for example) but as long as you take the time to read through stuff, they generally won't give you crap about it. Bear in mind a lot of newer folks do ask similar questions so folks can get tired of the questions themselves but you won't learn unless you ask right? Give them the opportunity to get to know you and vice versa and you'll fit right in here.

That said, welcome to the forums and don't let abusive posters scare you away from asking and learning. Our resident theorycrafters have a ton of excellent info and we also have a lot of it wikified here for you: http://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki - feel free to check it out.

Thanks for the extra info ( your level helps ) and welcome to the sometimes madhouse of these boards.

The answer you are looking for is yes BM is probably the better tree to level in and although the others are good at mid levels and above they are not so good at first.

Keep your points at first in one tree as what you need to aim for is the higher level talents of whatever tree you decide on , I will say i have tried all the trees and it is still possible to level ok in any tree . Feel free to try out each tree but every time you reset your talents it costs extra gold and can get expensive.

I go BM because of the mend pet and other pet bonuses as you can create a killing machine or a tank pet as even playing the huntard way your pet does almost as much damage as you do which you already know , it is also fun to play with the other trees just do not expect them to feel that much different at low levels and every time i have tried MM or SV at low level i always end up going back to BM .

I guess i am a BM hunter at heart and always will be but i am sure there are others here that also dislike the BM tree and can give their views on the other trees for levelling and i hope better than i can explain them.

People say BM is the fastest levelling spec, but dont just use it because of that, the other specs are easily fast enough so similar to pet choice, use what you enjoy the most.
My Hunter has reached outland and is Survival specced, and it is great fun. I just tend to run around crit raping mobs while my wasp, Maurice, cries because he cant hold aggro. But it doesnt matter if he cant hold aggro because I just drop a freezing trap and boom ive got Lock and Load and can crit rape another mob with 3 Explosive shots in 9 Seconds.
Sure if you are BM you probably wont die while levelling, but you wont be getting an explosive shot critting 3 times for 967 each either...
