Rune of the Nerubian Carapace

Assuming that it is usable on both weapons, this is a nice buff for DW tanks. Why they didn't just add 1-handed weapons to the original enchant, I have no clue...

One of these is more Parry than a single +2% (should be about +3% Parry). I don't know if two NC is greater than 1 NC and 1 Parry.

Either way, a buff to DW tanking.

Note: I think this really just covers additional damage from haste parrying. That means the only ways 2-hand should be superior to DW is in itemization and threat, which are kinda linked. And the difference isn't that large for casuals. Hit requirements are still a pain in the *** though.

[EDIT]

Fixed link.

Nice wouldn't even begin to describe it if that were the case, IMO. Amazing might come closer.

Hell, even if it's one weapon only, having this on one weapon and the 2% parry on the other would likely cover the issues with parry hasting, especially when you consider that many folks would combine this 1h enchant with at least one weapon that is itemized for tanking to begin with. Having this on one tank itemized weapon and say, Fallen Crusader on a DPS itemized weapon(preferably one with some expertise) would be an interesting solution to the threat issue as well.

With dual wielding, you end up with roughly equal stamina(at least when comparing ilvl 200 weapons) to what you would have with a 2h. Where you really find yourself lacking is on Strength(and sometimes hit, depending on your weapons...which is an even bigger deal with DW, obviously). Again, I think an FC and NC rune combo would make for a very interesting solution to that, possibly even bringing the two threat levels within a similar range.

So basically, DWing actually becomes viable for DK tanks. Not particularly interesting for me, but nevertheless a good move on Blizzards side.

I've been DW tanking since 3.2.2 just for S&G. I had to take a step back in some gear to get def capped again. This is actually pretty cool. I do like tanking with a giant 2h and blood spec, but DW is fun.

The only problem is that you have to be Def capped through gear in order to get the 3% avoidance from this enchant--it's the same problem you have with the 2-handed one, but this one is much more powerful (same stats, but you can have another runeforge).
