dump lockbox questionFollow

I am going for insane title and have to turn in over 1000 heavy junkboxes.

If you take everything out of the box it disappears and obviously is worthless for Ravenholdt rep. When I open one with silver and a pot or poison I take the money or the item whichever is worth more. But the majority of the boxes have only money in them. Is there a way to break down the stack so I leave only 1c in each box. I have tried experimenting with other boxes besides heavy but so far can't get it to work.

Is this possible?

Have you tried the Shift-click (or Alt-Click or whatever it is) that you use to break down items, with the gold? If that doesn't work, then no, you can't do that.

Besides, I wouldn't be bothered with it as a few silver isn't worth it.

The time you'd spend breaking down stacks of gold over the course of 1000 lockboxes taken and instead applied to dailies would probably yield about the same. Argent Tourney dailies net close to 200 gold when you've unlocked them all and if I can find a group for threat/cit quickly, it takes me about 45-60 minutes to do all of them. Do that twice and just turn in the boxes as-is.
