Forethought Talisman vs Tears of the VanquishedFollow

Hello guys, I have been gone for a few months so I want to get others opinions. The trinkets I currently use are Greatness Card and Forethought Talisman. Just recently I got Tears of the Vanquished. Now is the TotV better than the Forethought Talisman as a holy pally? I remember that the Greatness Card was best in slot back before Uladur. Any informed input is appreciated.

Also, if I were to switch out the FT it would drop my SP to about 2075 or so if it makes a difference in ppls responses.
Thanks

A lot depends on your assignment and strategy.

If you are beaconing the tank and healing others (maximum efficiency), the proc is likely to be wasted often since even your initial heal will have a fair amount of overheal. If you are focusing on the tank to the exclusion of the raid (maximum safety), I can see a use for the proc, along with your FLoT and SS, as a way of evening out damage spikes.

By the same token, if you're going for efficiency, you'll like the regen of the ToC trinket. And if you're going for safety, you want to maximize throughput, which means the Talisman.

Basically, the more old-school you are - the stereotype is chaining FoL but never exhausting a relatively small mana pool - the more you'll prefer the Talisman. Tears supports the judging-for-mana, whacking-on-bosses, 70%-Holy-Light style that was almost universal in T7 content. Since I'm still in the latter camp, I'll likely keep mine until I get enough Triumph emblems for the Talisman of Resurgence, which is basically both of the above trinkets combined.

Forethought talisman is trash mediocre for paladins. Stacking SP has always been meh for us, though with gear I am up to almost 3k raid buffed /shrug

I'd recommend the +int trinket for sure

3572 over 12 seconds doesn't seem like a lot, I would have thought the int & mana would enable you to flash more often.

The hot on that trinket will account for about a fraction of 1% of your healing, so trying to factor it in as a bonus is not even worth considering.

If you feel the need, or have no immediate options you always go for the Egg of Mortal Essence, since the +haste proc is ace. +84 int hands down beats either though

How would you rank the ToC25 trinket Solace of The Defeated Bode? I rank it as near the top if my wishlist, the way I look at it that trinket works out at roughly 6000mana over a 5 minute fight and thats nothing any other trinket is going to match.
