i cant decide on blood or unholy for PVE dps build. i know blood is the better for single target dps but i have seen an unholy dk solo a heroic boss just from using army of the dead. (all melee dps and army kept moving the boss from being hit)

Any 80 DK gets army of dead.... Unholy can have a 10 minute CD on it. Blood hits harded and does more over all dps, and has the potential of healing you for more. Any other questions?

If so, you should really just figure it out for yourself. Which play style do you prefer?

To be fair, he didn't say it was a Wrath heroic.
That said, pick what you like playing. If you are in a position to ask the question, then you clearly aren't in a progression guild. And if you don't have to worry about milking out every last bit of DpS, who cares? Just learn the rotations and gearing requirements for you favorite spec, and keep up on it. Unless it gets hit with a very hard nerf bat, you won't HAVE to change (assuming your raiding attitude remains the same, and you don't intend to do hard mode ICC a week after it is released).

Though I doubt it was JUST from AotD. It was probably AotD +perma ghoul while he used RP to heal it and remained under its threat whenever possible. If glyphed Rune Tap affects pets, that would help, too.
Add in Garg and he could do a lot of DpS without getting high on the boss' threat list. If it was an early BC boss, its damage could be low enough this would work.

This question has been somewhat bugging me since 3.2. They gave Unholy some attention, and I wonder if it now out strips blood in DPS with t9 gear on.
