This is one of my favorite threads ever.
As nobody seems to have answered the original question i guess i will as it seems my humour is not wanted on this site or thread.
Next best to BM i would have said Survival for levelling as once you get into the tree it gives some decent advantages and when you get to around level 35-40 with a pet that has thunderstomp should be pretty good fun but there is also nothing wrong with Marksman spec as most times if you do it right the mob falls dead at your feet so saves having to move to loot but to me they are all boring if you let them be.
I will say most classes are boring to level if you have that mindset so i will give you what i use to stop any boredom in hunter levelling which i am betting will upset/annoy a few here.
From level 12 ( heal pet ) go BM or whatever you fancy trying and always if possible keep your pet on aggressive , i can guarantee you will quickly learn how to aim your pet at mobs you want it to kill as it will be running to the least expected mob first and i use it almost all the time so even if you hate it i can guarantee you will never get bored as you never know exactly what your pet will want to do.
I prefer my pet on aggressive and with several hunters i never get bored as i am never fully sure what will happen as it is not the tree you choose that matters but how you are playing that makes all the difference.
Just one warning do not do it in a group unless they know exactly what you are doing and agree to it.

I'd like to point out I'm a math major and that was the entire point of the joke.

And here sir you fail again. The average IQ is 100 because 100 is what the average is defined as, so the average being 100 is an aprior truth. Given your numerous other failings I will have to say that your IQ is not 132, also when discussing IQ you have to give the SD that the test uses otherwise the number is fairly meaningless. So someone of slightly above average inteligence could say they have an IQ of 250 if the test used a 200 pt SD, most test either use 10, 12, or 15.
