To quote Mikelolol when I talked about my blood elf's nice hair: "the most important racial of all."

(My undead also has good hair.)
It was hard getting good looking hair for my undead, and my orc hunter has the long ponytail, which is the only good looking haircut for a female orc I could find.
The rest all look like the orc herself doesn't care about her hair and I want her to look pretty :(

Bloodelves are blessed in the department of hair, more than any other race (especially horde)

Female orc may not be the best choice for folks looking for pretty. I'm just saying. Plus, Hammer Time! If you're going orc, you gotta go male.

Female Orcs have 1 or 2 faces that look cute. The rest are all.. rawr!

I just started a Troll Priest, at lvl 5 I took him to the Blood Elf area. I hit 10 pretty fast.
Now to decide what kind of Priest I'm going to be >.>

Go shadow for leveling. You can switch at a higher level if you want, but keep 3 points in spirit tap until you reach max level.

If you haven't replaced your wand in ~4 levels go hit the AH. It matters.

Specifically (and this may have been mentioned later but I'm responding as I read through this), your best wands up to about level 30 are almost always going to be the ones that enchanters can make. The first one is available at level 5, with another at 13, and then one in the early twenties. There are four of them altogether, and I don't recall having seen a quest reward or BoE world drop that was better for that early stage.

Wands are to casters what normal melee attacks are to classes like rogues and warriors until you reach the mid-later levels. While solo, wands are what let you keep plugging along without having to stop so often to drink and recover the mana you just blew trying to nuke down every mob with spells. Wands are also your backup in case you happen to go OOM in the middle of a fight. If you've got a choice between using a wand and trying to kill something with your melee weapon as a caster, the wand is always going to be the better option.

If you want to try playing a character on the other faction, and you don't mind spending $30, create a character on your normal faction, load it up with the limit of gold (I think level 10 is like 300g), and then include a bunch of high-price items you can sell on the AH.

If you have any BoA items, include them with your character when you transfer ... although with 3.3 patch, it sounds like you'll be able to transfer BoA between factions, so that'll be less important.

Then, transfer it to the other faction.

I did that going from Horde to Alliance, wanted to experience some different quests on Alliance instead of doing Horde again for the umpteenth time.

I went Blood Elf for my priest. She looks funky in a robe and has the best racial talents imo:

Racial Traits
* Arcane Affinity: (passive) +10 bonus to Enchanting
* Arcane Torrent: (active) Silences all nearby opponents for 2 seconds. Also restores mana (5 + 1/Level%), energy (15), or runic power (15)
* Magic Resistance: (passive) -2% chance to be hit by spells

The enchanting thing is ok but nothing I got to excited about but Arcane Torrent has saved my *** soooo many times, particularly when I was levelling. Free mana ftw! Magic Resistence is also awesome when faced with casters.

I have actually cried trying to level a caster without arcane torrent. I miss it soooo much!

About wanding: Not sure if this is still the case, but I recall that wanding was difficult to interrupt at times. Once it starts its auto-cast, you have to wait until it shoots before you can cast something else. Most times it's not a problem, but sometimes you would rather stop the wand and shield yourself.

That was my first macro, iirc, using the /stopcasting command. I still use it today with PW:S.

Ahh the good old days.

An evil guildie of mine wants to level something together AGAIN. My priest at 20 is the only option I am considering.

They are SLOW to level though. Coming from leveling a mage it feels like you're waiting for mobs to die .... of age.

Of course, thanks to healing spells and spirit tap, there are many less eating/drinking breaks so I guess it evens out, kinda.

Anyhow, good luck leveling your priest, which should be close to 80 by now since this is an old thread.

I don't know, I guess it depends on what you seek in a dance. Smiley: sly
