Any News on if Blizz'll Increase Limit per RealmFollow

I tried searching through Google but most of the articles I found were from launch. And, considering how oddly stagnant I'm finding the Cataclysm information flow to be, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this fell through the cracks.

So, I am considering returning (on a very casual basis at first. RL+School+Work takes a vast amount of time). Unfortunately, because I focused so much on my DK, he's the only 80 I have. He's the only one even close on my main server, Dalaran, since I moved--the next is, like, a 58 Hunter or something.

However, I'm kinda bored with my Human. I picked him at first because I wanted to be Alliance first for NR quests, and I just hated the idea of a NE or Draenei DK (and Gnome, though only because I hate when weapons clip through the ground--they're actually one of my preferred races).

And so, that brings me to two conflicting desires:

A Worgen Death Knight.
A BE Death Knight.

If I'm gonna go back to Alliance (at least for my primary main) if I stay around for Cata, I'm probably gonna want a Worgen and I'll probably want it to be a DK (though other classes are possible).

So, any news on if they're upping the number of DKs you can have per realm? They won't be new any more, so I doubt they have to worry about overpopulation. And, with two new races, it's probably the fairest thing (I mean, other classes that want to switch their race without paying don't need to delete the old).

I just really don't want to delete my only Alliance-side 80 if I'll be returning to it come Cata...

Has anyone heard anything? Do you think I should hold on to ole' Yehoshua just in case they don't open it up? I guess I could always level a Mage or something...

With the change to PvP servers I'm not sure why Blizz hasn't allowed for maybe 2 DKs each realm.
I would like it as I like to pick a Spec and stay at it (look at the thread below this, I still can't decided one..but i will..). Would be fun play another DK on my realm, on my account.
I picked Orc because of the Racial that upped Pets (unholy), but lately I wouldn't mind being a troll (A race most of my other characters all are).

Imo, I don't think Blizz is going to let DKs be a starting class for Goblins and Worgens.
Just like I don't think they are going to allow people to Race Transfer right off the start either.
This gives everyone fair game to start a new race, and be able to be the "1st" to 85 with it.
Not starting at 55, or just race changing (I have a nicely geared 26 Tauren Druid, who I'd love to be a Troll [to not lose the gear]).

So then... you want to be a Dwarf DK? Or are you thinking of Horde side characters?
You could pay to Fraction-Swap.

I have a 70 Human DK as well on a different realm (Shadowsong for my Hordes, Gorrosh for my Allies). I picked Human because of their racial's >.>

I just hate playing Dwarves. >.< I don't have anything against them, but their lore doesn't really excite me. I'm not a big drinker, so I don't get jollies out of playing one. And, if I'm gonna be ugly (by human standards) I might as well be something that's supposed to look nothing like 'em (by that I mean humanoids that don't look human).

My problem isn't that I want a new Alliance DK right now, it's that I'm going to want a Worgen one--I can feel it...

But, I also want a BE one. And, since the first option isn't available yet, my yearning for the BE is greater.

And, since Alliance is my main faction, I don't want to lose my only Alliance 80 because I faction switched. This would be the case with a faction switch, paid or otherwise.

IDK, maybe I'll just stick with my current DK and hope for the best... I wish my account was activated so I could ask it on the OBoards (always a chance a Blue might respond, even if just to tell me whether or not it'll possibly come with Cata).

[EDIT]

Have they nerfed Orc racials, yet? Or are they still way better than any other Horde race (or any other race, period?) Their racials were fiiiiine.

Don't know. When I made my DK their racials were still as is. They might have changed (I just came back a few weeks ago from a 4 month break).

If you want a BE DK, make one. Unless you are just hell bent to play on Dalaran, you can make a DK on a different realm. Maybe this is what you were asking and I didn't understand it.
If so, then you can have as many DKs as you want.
Just 1 per realm, and you do not need a 55 per realm for a DK. Just a 55 on the account.

Shadowsong is where my Hordes call home (it is a PvE realm). If a BE DK is what you want to play, you are welcome to come over. The guild I'm in is pretty cool, you can have an invite if you wish.

On the subject of Orc racials if you think they have the best racials in the game you have been smoking too much crack. I can't remember the last time my orc shaman resisted a stun or used an axe. Humans have the best set of racials in the game. 10% Bonus rep, 2 types of weapon expertise, and a free trinket on a 2 min CD that combines Gnome's Escape artist and the Undead's Will of the Forsaken is inferior to Orc racials how?

I wasn't aware that this was the Shaman forum.

In terms of DK, the increased AP for RP Dumps and the addition to pet damage was HUGE at first. With the nerfing of Garg and DRW, the effect wasn't as large, but they still were much higher in terms of min/maxing on DpS charts.

Plus, for a while, the best weapons in the game for DKs were axes, so Orcs with the best weapons could lose some exp gems for AP ones. I don't know how this was in Ulduar/Tourney, though.

I'll definitely grant you the PvP thing though. They were not as good in that department as Humans or Forsaken.
