I'm a level 25 Tauren Shaman, speccing elemental. I've been using a one-hand mace and a shield. My question is which one-handed mace is best for me to equip for the next several levels?
1. Sergeant's Warhammer of Healing (12-24 dmg, 8.6 dps, 2.10 speed, +2 spell power); or
2. Skeletal Club (28-53 dmg, 15.6 dps, 2.60 speed, Chance on hit: Sends a shadowy bolt at the enemy causing 30 Shadow damage).
For combat right now I stand as far away as possible from the mob and spam as many Lightning Bolts as I can (usually 2-3) until the mob gets to me and starts hammering on me (assuming it is not a caster). Then I bash it senseless with my mace until it is dead. I keep Water Shield up at all times and keep Flametongue Weapon on my mace. In case it makes a difference, here is a link to the armory so you can take a look at my other gear: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Thrall&n=Abequa
Generally I like any +spell power gear I can find but you can see from the armory link that I'm wearing quite a bit of it (I think). The Skeletal Club dropped off a mob earlier today and I was going to sell it at the AH. But it is a really nice one-hand mace and does quite a bit more damage than the Sergeant's Warhammer of Healing, so I thought I would check before I get rid of it. Especially because I'm still at such a low level that I think I am still a hybrid shaman and not a real elemental shaman yet.
I would appreciate any advice about whether to hang on to the Skeletal Club or not. Thanks!
