If by hits you mean hit rating or hit % then I would have to guess mine is really really low like 2% hit or something equally bad. Expertise flowing out the *** though.

I amused myself the other day noticing that my bear gear has more hit on it than my cat gear does.

A lot.

I beat the other tanks in my guild and they gem pure stam, I use agi or agi/sta. Epics and JC gems but still they use epics as well.

Yeah the other tanks in my guild are better geared than me (full 226+, 245s now of course as well, I still have an ungodly number of 200s) and I eclipse their health easily. Where they end up beating me is avoidance, I have just over 40% but our pally has like 65% self buffed and the DK has 50-60 or something.

Ya, they beat me in avoidance as well.

Not sure who wins in armor, I'll find out on Sunday before the raid.

edit: missed a letter

Ya bears love stam. I'm north of 30k un-buffed, but bear is off-spec and a work in progress; so most of the good bears will blow me away there.

I'd say I'm usually a bit higher on armor then the other tank classes, but fairly far behind in avoidance.

My favorite part is hitting Survival Instincts. Threw our priest for a loop the other night, she just recently started healing, and I popped SI during a fight. Afterwords I hear:

"I looked up and was like OMG, when did Sun get 60k HP!"

still rofl about that one :)

When I regemmed/chanted my kitty gear and threw on my dedicated tank pieces (cloak, neckpiece, rings, trinkets) I was at:

HP - 35,167
Armor - 27,556 (64.40% reduction)
Dodge - 39.98%
AP - 5346
Hit - 235 (7.17%)
ArP - 82
Crit - 41.76%
Exp - 26 (6.50%)

That was before upgrading my belt and neckpiece.

As I have found out recently, stam is only one part of the tanking equation (sounds obvious I know). My disc priest has been doing a LOT of reg TotC runs lately in all sorts of PuGs. The worst tanks to heal were DK's with high stam - they took so much damage I can only assume they have stacked stam instead of avoidance. I've had much lower health DK's and other tanks who were much easier to heal. In a raid, it isn't as much of a problem (better gear to start with) as the strain is spread over more healers, but in a 5man, the healer has to spam everything on the tank and it is tough on mana and also on managing to handle raid damage as well.
