According to a post on the O-Boards, Wow Census has rogues as one of the three least played classes at 80.

Why is that?

They always seem to be at or near the top of the damage meters, they seem to be great at pvp... so what am I missing? Is their dps rotation too hard? Too boring?

I know quite few people who abandoned their rogues for Death Knights. Great damage, great PvP, AND being able to tank here and there was just too tempting.

The AoE style of WotLK isn't helping things either. In TBC the trapping and sapping in instances was half the fun for me, and now it has completely disappeared. It turned my rogue into a Battleground PvP toon, and the hunter still isn't anywhere even close to 80. My rogue-ish PvE ambitions are limited to grinding up enough reputation for the head enchant. I can do everything else with my druid cat - with fewer buttons to worry about and no need to switch specs and complete rotation because of a new weapon drop.

I agree with Kann, to a certain extent. He is right about the whole re-rolling to dk thing.

However, with the addition to FoK, and them changing it to have no CD, rogues are one of the best AOE classes. Obviously it only applies if they can get into range, but it is easy to pull of 10k+ dps all day long in certain raids.

Until the nerf comes in where they drop the dmg of FOK by 30%. I love the change to envenom though, *IF* it goes through.
