I've gotten the impression that most of the people who play druids drink a lot.

I also find this very funny and true to me... Well, and Horse too, cause he's a lush.

Yeah.. no..

I actually don't drink at all. I have a notorious sweet tooth and it seems no matter how well made or floofy the drink that warm alcoholic taste (and it's always there!) is a big turn off for me. ^^; Best I can do is be a Chocoholic.

I've got a sweet tooth and I drink like a sponge.

Score!

What you really mean is that you paid some cash to clear your spec and then put five points in Responsibility, right?

I'm saving my money for a sweet mount instead. Just can't afford both.

I avoid alcohol and caffeine so much that I make a Mormon look like a drunk.

And I'm the Mormon that looks like a drunk! Smiley: schooled

Not that I actually drink, but I've had folks on vent accuse me of being drunk. Oh the fun of hypoglycemia... xD

Me and my wife both play druids and are frequently drunk when we play
#10 Aug 30 2009 at 2:48 PM Rating: Good
I've been known to have the odd large glass of scotch and coke while playing (or 2 or 3) :)

Switching from druid heals to disc heals to shammy heals while drunk is crazy hard having to remember all the various clique settings, spell & keybindings. Sometimes we wipe on the 1st fight. Other times we scrape through and I improve from there :)

You mean I'm not alone. I tend to drink when its raid time. I don't know why I pick the time when I should be paying the most attention, but we have yet to wipe because of my drunkness.

I do drink quite a bit, but I'm nowhere near an alcoholic. I do like to taste some Jack Daniel and some sake, or maybe a "capirinha" here and there, but I usually drink a litlle bit of something because I like the taste and dont get drunk at all, because I dont like the hangover that much =]

Maaaaybe it's because they share a common denominator :

Drinking = fun. (just not tooooo much)
Raiding = fun.

Or maybe your guild sucks and want to not be too present (I've been in such guilds too)

For the past, oh, 16 months or so I can count on two hands the number of times I have been drunk.

Out of those, three times were where I played WoW (usually after I got home for the night).

Each time I had a blast! Playing WoW drunk is pretty fun, and yet I haven't had much of an issue playing a tank or DPS role sloshed.

On that note, is it just me or is druid tanking pretty darn easy? I've never tried another tank class, but from friends who have totally failed at tanking and can't figure out why, I get the impression they have a tougher time than us. Or maybe DKs/Warriors are just tougher? Paladin doesn't seem that rough, though.

We've got 5 tanking abilities and 3 survival CDs, + trinkets. And if you don't take Imp Mangle to ***** up your ability CDs, you can practically tank with one cast-sequence macro and keybinds for Barkskin, Frenzied Regen, and Feral Instincts. I guess it's balanced by having the most complicated DPS rotation currently in game.

Oh, and I've NEVER raided drunk. Or tanked chain heroics. Nope... never done it...

As I understand it, Druid and Pally both have easily rotatable cooldowns, so their tanking is more rhythmic; I'm not sure why anyone would have a hard time with DK, it's the same thing as a dps rotation except you're in Frost Presence and likely skipping RP dumps in favor of Rune Strikes when they come up (not counting osh*t buttons).

Warrior is extremely proactive mitigation and reactive threat; you have to watch for Revenge procs, keep up with Shield Block/Shield Slam, watch positioning for Shockwave, dump extra rage (but not too much!) into Heroic Strike, etc etc etc. I'd not be surprised in the least if someone went from any one of the other 3 tank classes into Warrior and had a little trouble with it. The only reason I haven't picked any of them up despite my love of tanking is the hassle of playing the crit-immunity game with the defense cap (So happy they're changing that in Cataclysm!).

Drinking.....ahhh yes. It has been part of my raid rotation ever since Kara (didn't play pre BC).
1)Get on main character if not.
2)Accept invite.
3)Hop on flight to nearest point.
4)Go have a smoke and make a drink.
5)Drink and BS until we're full and ready.
6)Have another smoke and make a new drink every so often or when the cup runs dry.

I've raided sober before, but I realize how bad others are and become angry at their lack of skills too much to ever want them to raid again....but if I'm drunk or drinking, well then I could hardly care for the most part as long as things die.

Hi, my character is Mattox, as he has a problem.

I always have this tendency to farm when I've been drinking.

It brings me back to my drunk kara days. Every wednesday in BC when we weren't doing 25 mans we were in kara running it for the millionth time about 7 of us would go out and grab a case of beer and begin to have some fun.

My group could speed run kara with no deaths or wipes when we were sober, but when we went in wasted it was a 4 to 5 hour endeavor full of wipes, leroy jenkins pulls, can the mt tank prince w/o a shield types of moments. Probably was some of the most fun times I've ever had playing wow.

I like to imbibe the whiskey from time to time, its always a good time.

What do you guys usually drink?

Druid drink recipes!

I usually grab a beer or three (during the summer months, Corona or the local Green Tuborg/Carlsberg Classic), but once in a while I take a sip of Morgan & Coke, or if I'm in the mood, a glass of Jack Daniels. On the rocks if it's PvP. Need the ice for when I bite my tongue out of sheer frustration.

Edit: Lol, beer, not bear.

One of the local brewers makes an awesome porter. I'll choose that to fill me up and get me all happy any day. But when that's not an option the Mrs. usually has some wine around. I know nothing about wine, but I'll go for whatever she has if I'm desperate enough.

I try not to drink and heal, my raid doesn't appreciate it as much as I do. Something about the poor reaction time, and KT's ice-block thingy being a death sentence. *shrugs*

Bud light, Shiner bach, Rum and coke, Vodka and Cool-aid, any wine my fiance has in stock....Jagermeister when I'm feeling it....

I drunk healed ToC 10, all 4 bosses, then General and Yogg last night. Was our first Yogg downing. Our schedules are so crazy we couldn't get a good group together for it on a consistant basis to get good attempts in.

Anyway. I'll drink and tank, dps or heal. I don't discriminate. :P

I can count to 1023 on 2 hands which is more days than 16 months so...

I drink when I play rather often.

I would have responded sooner but was on the mainland visiting family and... well... drinking.

At home I usually drink Steinlager or Sierra Nevada IPA tallboys. Occasionally mixing in 12-packs of High Life.

Had a bottle of Absinthe a few months ago.

Sometimes after a night out with the lady I will just continue drinking wine.

The tanking rotation is simple enough and I have my keybinds memorized.

DPS is workable but that usually means I doing heroics so very low pressure. Again keybinds make it simple.
