Drums of the Wild...Er?Follow

Drums of the Wild

I've officially seen it all. When a class buff (Gift of the Wild) that is unique to a class is now "also" available on a crafted item (ie. Leatherworking Drum). Same with Paladins and the Drums of Forgotten Kings (ie. 8% stat boost for 1 hour).

Wow...

Ah well, it's not as good as my Improved GotW, so they still need me.

Yeah not quite as good so in raids you're still useful for that. But in all honesty if you were brought to raids solely for buffing Imp MotW, something was wrong.

I see these 2 new drums as a decent alternative for smaller guilds who can't necessarily bring one of each class to raids. I'm still somewhat disappointed that they still haven't implemented more flavorful drums (like those in BC) yet but I guess I'll make a few Kings one for those few times I'm not running with any Pally. :/

Yeah I take it as being a way to get buffs that your 10man doesn't have available. It's clearly not meant to be a replacement for the class buff, but rather a supplement to fill gaps.

Haste drums... God that brings back memories of chain drumming in ZA.

These drums are nice, I do hope they bring back the other ones as well. They were always fun. Namely drums of panic in battlegrounds.

What I'm curious about is if the drums will be single-use. They look a bit pricey for using a new one every wipe.

I would hope they're just on a 30min cooldown to go with the buff...

Course, if that means you wipe in under 30min, you're SOL :P

I missed being able to use drums in Northrend. This looks like fun.

The old BC drums were 50 charges cooldown of like a minute I think?

I think so Arex. Haven't used drums in a while. I think I used the last of them leveling to 80 in instances. They still kinda worked and I had a bunch from BC raiding left over.

Every other buff has more than one class that can give it. AP? BoM or Battle Shout. MP/5? Wisdom or Mana Spring. There's a Fort buff from Inscription, in the patch.

They're covering all the buffs with more than one class, now, so raid buff stacking is a little easier.

And guess who has Insc and LW as his 2 professions...

There are watered down BoK and Fort coming as well. Particularly in 10 mans it is easy to be missing buffs which would be nice to have. Now, if I can just get my bloodlust in a bottle, i'll be very happy indeed.

After spending all night drinking JDs, this is even funnier. I swear.
