Fellow mages, what gives more dmg for FFS mage:

Glyph Living Bomb or Glyph Improved Scorch?

Living Bomb is obviously more DPS... but your raid MUST have a Scorch ***** or a Warlock using Imp Shadowbolt.
If you are the only Fire/FFB mage, you need Scorch Glyph or you're gimping -every- caster's dps.

*edit*
I am failtarded. Walrock, not Priest. Benefit of being up 40 hours, you swap words. I typed Paladin instead of Ret numerous times, and even typed Paladin instead of spec.. brain does weird things. Thanks for correction Anobix.

Not necessarily true. A couple extra seconds to get it up the first isn't a gimp. The real problem is that without it, you have to be MUCH more careful about keeping it up, and thus much more aware of your rotation and timers. The only times it's really an issue is during fights with short interim phases, like XT-whatchamacallit in Ulduar(I sometimes switch over to my FFB spec for that fight to have the Scorch Glyph and more cooldowns to burn) or when you have to switch between multiple targets often.

good point. I personally -hate- casting a low DPS spell 5x, and it is SO bad if you miss it running out and have to do it again.

Thanks for the advise :)

I'll stick with my Glyph of scorch, since I am the only mage using that in my guild(just checked it, was kinda suprised I am the only one), and i prefer 5% critchange as FFB-spec ^^

Good thing I am always raiding so all casters can bennefit :D

Another thing, is it correct the proc-change "Hot Streak" on Glyph of Living Bomb has been disabled?

And another thing, I always see my debuffs on the Boss when I do dmg (Ignite, Living Bomb etc.) but when I use Scorch, it's not always showing on boss. Does that mean it is active on boss, but I just don't see it? Or does that mean it is resisted or something, not active? (I never see message Immune or Resested or anything)

Do you use an add on to monitor it? Maybe try Scorchio or another similar one

Edit: to put a link in

Glyph living bomb, it is the biggest dps increase glyph that we have.

If anything dropping molten armor or frostfire glyph is less of a dps decrease than living bomb.

I personally just scorch the 5x and make sure to scorch when there are about 5-10 seconds left on the debuff when I have to. When we have another mage he normally ends up doing it as I normally did better dps.

The reason that you may be losing is because you may have a warlock -- not shadow priest putting up imp shadowbolt which grants +5% crit as well in a single cast. Check next time.

Oh, and another vote for Scorchio - great addon for tracking your debuffs/buffs. And Hot Streak can no longer proc from the DoT crits of Living Bomb but still can on the explosion.

As Anobix said keep glyph of living bomb, and the last time researched it Frostfire would be the one to drop if you feel you must. I personally just keep scorch up unglyphed if we do not have a demo/afflic lock in the raid. Also for the debuff addon
I like EBB (Elkano's Buff Bars). I use it for my mage and my druid.
