Feral DPS again after a long timeFollow

Its been a really long time since I played as feral dps, at least for any length of time. I think the last time was before I hit 70, which was at least a few months before Wrath launched I think, so its been awhile. This character has kind of been gathering dust lately, but with my priest leveling through northrend, I wanted something up close and personal that could tear things apart. My druid in kitty form seemed the most likely choice.

What I'm wondering is, how is my spec for my level (72)? I'm sure my gear is sub-par, I haven't done an instance yet, but that will change as soon as I finish gathering all my Nexus quests :). Thanks for any advice, everyone!

Edit: because I'm a noob and forgot the armory link.

/agreed you gear stinks ;)

the beautiful thing is, any quest reward gear you get is likely to be to be a decent upgrade
find a friendly leatherworker, the 375+ level greens will be a good option
oh late in the late 70s, the eviserator's set is an exelent choice

other things to try is http://www.wow-heroes.com or similar site
good upgrade advisor (and where to get em)

as for your talent build looks almost cookie cutter dps - dont worry that's going to get you to 80 sharpish, then monkey about with the build (if you want to)

Cookie cutter eh? I guess I've looked at too many of those, I just threw points where they looked like they made sense. As far as gear, thanks for the tips. Going to be running dungeons with this character a lot, I think. I've got a guildmate that wants healing practice, and another that will tank anything for me as long as I level my priest eventually, so I'm pretty golden :).

You can drop the Rake glyph. I don't recall many runners in Northrend when I leveled.

Spec is fine, you're leveling so unless you do something really bad it is usually fine.

Go KotJ next then SA. Fill out Naturalist as well. If you wanted to respec you could go this way. Then finish up RnT, PG before getting into the NS/MS stuff.

As soon as you hit 75 you want the SR glyph. Usually the Rip and Shred ones are your other 2 friends.

Just work on gear with Agi, AP, Crit, Haste, Hit, Expertise and Stam for the most part. Mainly focus on Agi and Stam for leveling.

Okay, what about rotation? Forgot to ask about that.

You're level 72 so, at full energy, Rake, then Mangle spam.

If you get to 4+ CPs then Rake as FB is an energy killer. Once you hit 75 get SR up and running ASAP and keep it going as much as possible. Rake still unless you need a new SR.

Stuff dies to fast to get 5 CPs with Rake up.

A more in depth flowchart for feral DPS that I remeber being posted a while back that I kept.

I love showing it to the guild when they ask how my rotation goes.
