Hey I'm a fresh 80 shaman dinged last night and have to some research and have found almost everything I need to know except this.

My rotations starts with a FS, LavaB, CL, LB what I cant figure out is where I put in my shock and which shock it is supposed to be. by that I mean when FS is on the target and my shock cooldown is up should I throw an earthshock, or frostshock in there? and what priority are my shocks after my flame shock is up?

Thanks in advanced.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

Well to put it simply: you don't.

Just refresh flameshock as soon as it runs out and keep on spamming CL and LB untill LavaB is available again.

A full rotation would be, depending on your % haste, something like: FS - LavaB - CL/LB filler - LavaB - CL/LB filler - FS - LavaB - etc, etc.

Priority rotation.

Flame Shock, keep it up, refresh when it goes down.

Lava Burst whenever it's available.

Chain Lightning whenever it's available.

Otherwise Lightning Bolt.

Flame Shock > Lava Burst > Chain Lightning > Lightning Bolt - order of importance.

Thanks to the last revoke of the elemental spec its not as easy as it was. You can get way more out of your gear if you use your gcd perfect.

The general rotation is something like:

1. Try to use any trinket
2. Try to cast Elemental Mastery
3. If under 60% mana, try to cast Thunderstorm
4a. If Flame Shock DOT is up, and Flame Shock duration >1.5s try to cast Lava Burst
5. If flame shock DOT is not up for more than 1.5 sec: try to cast Chain Lightning
6. Try to cast Lava Burst
7. Try to cast Lightning Bolt

With the new change to Shamanism, the more SP you have the lower priority CL gets and in the meantime the priority of LB gets higher. CL is mostly used as a quick filler between gcd. Not as your main damage resource.
