Warriors in PVP nowadays...Follow

#1 Aug 21 2009 at 1:51 AM Rating: Decent
Hi all,

I have been on a year long hiatus from wow to do RL things but now coming back to it a little bit.
Obviously in this time a lot has changed and i've got a hang of a few things and currently have my warrior at level 72 as my highest.
I need to know, as I'm not a player who can go to every raid in a hardcore raiding guild, and I love pvp, how warriors are doing in 80 pvp. I have done a fair bit of pvp before quit at level 59 and 69 nowadays, but have no idea how they are in general, as in, will i get bored of it after a couple weeks pvp'ing and how do warriors fare in arenas...

I do have some friends which have been playing since Wotlk release, who say that Rogues and well-played DK's are doing pretty well in 80 pvp, and I'm wondering as I was thinking of playing a Rogue alt anyway, so not sure whether to do so.

thanks

Well, first thing to note is that as of the last patch, you now gain XP through pvp. You can shut this down but it also turns off all XP gains.

As for warrior pvp, I don't have a lot of experience yet. My warlock pvp pretty regularly in bg's and wintergrasp and gets eaten alive by warriors. My warrior has only pvp'd a couple times on accident. I was farming herbs/eternals in wintergrasp and got jumped by a couple allies - I just about 2-shotted the one and ended up wearing the other down. And my warrior has zero pvp gear and pretty poor gear in general (mostly ilvl 170.)

Gotta pvp him more =)

I think that video will give you inspiration haha. It certainly helped me anyways. I see the warrior class as a force to be reckoned with, as long as you know what to do. Spell Reflecting, knowing when to switch to a sword and board, etc. I just know it's going to take a lot of hard work.

Word of advice, get a sense of realism.

Popping Sweeping Strikes with Recklessness and Bladestorm just made Warriors unstoppable. Literally, since Bladestorm made them immune to just about anything. And I'm not hating, I've got an Arms Warrior myself.
