ill hit the target dummies tonight and see how it goes, first time i've been told that FB during a berserk was a waste =/ wonder how much dps i've been wasting :O

so your saying when i berserk i shouldnt be doing anything but keeping debuffs up and shredding (while making sure SR is up)?

When you Beserk, you follow your normal rotation except you do not use FB as a combo-point dump. This means you'll mostly just be spamming Shred.

The rotation you gave doesn't have you using Rip for a very long time. This is your primary damage dealer and there is no reason to not be getting it up ASAP. That is why people use Berserk at the start of fights.

It "can" be ok if you manage to hit it right on 35 energy. It is too easy to hit it when your energy has ticked up to 60+ energy so all that extra energy is wasted - and during beserk, all that energy is worth twice as much as usual. Basically, if you have any sort of latency, you are better just spamming shred (and keeping your other buffs/debuffs up) - at worst you might lose a tiny bit of DPS, but at worst you could lose a significant amount damage.

Maybe this is just nit-picking, but you also have your rotation going from Mangle => SR => Rip...no CP = no Rip.

If you really want to drop a ton of damage in the first 30-45 sec (Sarth 3d zerg, for example), you should do something like this:

FFF as you're running in
Feral Charge
Mangle
SR
Rake
Shred
(Shred if OoC procs)
TF
Trinkets + Berserk
Shred to 5
Rip

Keep SR and Rake up and shred-spam.

Also, for trash, use Rake => SR if you have 2t8 set bonus. Swipe, (swipe if OoC procs), TF, Berserk (if there's at least 3 min to the next boss), spam Swipe. Post meters after pull and grab a rain coat. The mage QQ may cause flash flooding.

Question while we're at it, is it possible to solo BC instances and lower with a full kitty spec or a half kitty/bear or bear spec is needed for that?

It's definitely possible to do it in a kitty spec, although you will need a decent set of bear gear to do it.

I've done most of the BC regular dungeons (including MgT) solo in my kitty spec with bear gear. I've also done a few of the heroics (Sethekk Halls, Botanica, Underbog, Mechanar) solo, while finishing out my Outland Dungeon Hero achievement/farming Anzu.

hit the target dummies a couple times since beeing told that FB was a waste during berserk, usually get a couple good attempts in every time before i start having ability lockout bugs from them (getting locked out of rip while berserk is up, random rake and shread lockouts for no reason), best 3 attempts that i managed to not get locked out of anything i was holding 3,900 DPS with only MoTW over ~3 minute tries, did a couple FB rotation tries but they all ended up averaging around 3k-3.2k, thx for the info ^_^, cant wait to give it a real time try but ive been stuck tanking since XD

To make a quick note, I solo heroic Sethekk every day in full cat spec and gear, just doing it in bear form. If you have the gear for it, no need to tune your spec for it or use a tank set.
