Here's a little something else about the Shatterspear from a site about Lost/Rare WoW places
http://www.lostwow.com/Shatterspear.shtml

Also I gotta say, Best forum/thread ever. People discussing Lore about their own class without bashing or flaming, I gotta cheer this.
Now on to the topic, I might say that aslong as they add a REAL reason and no lame excuses to adding trolls into the brackets of druidism I wouldnt really mind, atleast that would prove them of being able to add actual good backstory into their own thing.

Now for my whine, Stag form plx. (Malorne) :(

QFT

Also I gotta ask, what do you guys envision this "stag form" to be? Druids already have a form for everything imaginable (tank, melee, ranged, healing, water travel, land travel, air travel). So, what role or niche do you think stag would fill? Or, do you think a new race of Druids would have stag instead of a current form?

Oh, they'd have to have a gore attack, whatever their role is ^^

Some thing like this.

Would be travel form replacement image. As the image is a placeholder that has been used since beta. Very ghetto.

I am hoping they leave stag form for the Arch druid hero class, in which ever expansion pack they come out.

Healing groups while looking like Keeper Remulos in Moonglade would be epic.

While I do agree that Stag form would go great as a replacement to Travel Form or for the Arch Druid class, I know I wouldn't mind seeing it as some sort of "Mount Form" where we can give people rides.

Why would there be an arch druid hero class? What would it have, better forms than a regular druid? More spells? I don't think you can add any more versatility to the class that can already fill every role (and has a form for each). With Death knights, there was an entirely new resource (Runes and RP) and a (mostly) new way of looking at talent trees. Blizzard may be recycling a lot of content lately, but I don't think they would reskin druids, rename their spells, and release them as "Arch Druids, the new hero class".

If there were more Talent space they could like make optional -spec- forms.
An example, You could go with Moonkin, and have their bonuses you know, defense, crits, etc.

Or go with Stag form and have lets say, no defense bonus but get speed movement and instead of crits haste!

much like feral having kitty and bear except just being an optional for the spell dps instead of one tank and one dps.

Comparing Cat and Bear is like comparing ToL and Moonkin forms; totally different purposes. Cat and Bear share a tree and a lot of talents, but you can't max your DPS without sacrificing your survivability, or vise versa. Like a DK Blood tank and a DK blood DPS.

Adding another form to the balance tree would probably totally invalidate the other. Unless it's a temporary form (demon form, Demonology Warlocks), one form or the other will be mathematically superior with a given gear set up.

Not necesarilly to the idea of "Invalidate" the other, some people might like the Owl from the moon thing anothers will like the Stag form too, some might like Crit more than Haste and so on, thats why I used something that comes mostly as a preference for the bonus instead of something more important.

Hell more people would like to go more defensive or even have more movement speed instead of the defense, its simply something around the same just an idea.

I couldnt come up with much at the time I posted.. Ill give it some more thought, I just want my stag form :(
but even when I think about it... how would a stag even cast something... unless it channels it through its horns or something

Malfurion is a pet/buffing class judging from wowwiki I could see that working with angering regular druids. Kind of a 1 trick pony though, so maybe a buffing tree, a pet tree and a healing tree?

Either way the horns look cool.

Hm maybe another side for the resto tree, instead of the hots we could have another kind of healing or simply a new kind of "buffing" system with it.

OH HAI, what about a Nature-Warlock tree lmao, instead of demons we get awesome forest creatures!

I just read that section of the Malfurion article more carefully... He really is an Alliance player!
"If Malfurion is encountered alone, he usually uses his spells and abilities to escape into the forests and return later with help."

I jest, of course, just couldn't resist.

Worgen racials
# Darkflight - Activate your true form, increasing movement speed by 70% for 6 sec, every 3 min.
# Viciousness - Increase damage by 1%.
# Abberation - Reduced duration on Curses and Diseases used against you by 15%.
# Flayer - Skinning skill +15, you skin creature fast, and you don't even need a knife.

Nope, looks like Trolls win.

EDIT Today's Q&A -

Quote:
10:47AM Will Troll and Worgen Druids be getting unique feral forms? Chris Robinson hops on with a very clear "yes."

Okay my visual snobbishness as been appeased.

They're removing all the "lesser stats", like ARP, mp5 and I thought haste was on that list...

Troll will still be good, but I wonder if stacking haste, then potting + berserking will still be viable, if in order to stack haste you have to stack some other stat (perhaps int?)

Guess we will see Smiley: smile

I thought they were keeping Haste, it would just work differently for casters vs melee? Casters the same as it does now, for melee it would speed up the regen of energy/runes/etc?
