I was thinking about coming back to WoW just for the axes.

wtf is up with Blizz adding the axes? Hardly any in the game for us, so why bother? Give me faster energy generation, stronger poisons, faster weapons with higher dps, quiet Mail armor to use, dream...dream...dream... lol

They didn't add it for you...they added it for enhancement shaman so that they could put more 1h axes in the game without everyone else QQing that "zomfg y u put enh shaman wehpuns on bosses and no r teh wehpuns 4 rouges?!?!?!" Like we didn't already have enough options with swords, daggers, fist weapons, and maces. Not enough other classes used 1h axes for them to have much of a place in high end loot tables without them being labeled as niche weapons for a particular class, hence expanding the scope of classes able to use them made them a viable alternative.
