I am asking this on a few class boards because I am trying to get back in the game and trying to decide on a class to stick with, If you would, can you please share what you like and dislike about the class? I am getting very mixed thoughts about TG.
I wouldnt recommend it as the class to play if you are just making a comeback to the game, its one of the most gear dependent classes. Maybe DK?
Do you have a preexisting warrior?

I was kind of wanting to make a warrior aswell since I like shields and I got no real plate character yet. But im either between this or the overused pally :(

Personally I prefer warrior to pally - I like the playstyle better.
Also, I'm a fan of trying everything once, so any time someone says they want to try a new class, I'm going to say they ought to do it.

The last thing we need is more DK's. I had the most fun leveling my shaman to be honest. Warriors are awesome. Great at PvP, incredibly useful as a tank (The best tank in my opinion. From a healers viewpoint) and lately, pretty awesome DPS. My only complaint is they aren't any fun. But then again, my warrior was pre BC and I leveled prot, so yeah.
I lvled a druid to 70 then 80, I lvled a pally to 52 the abandoned her, I'm still lvling my war and loving it. PvP lvl him (with a friend if you can) it give good XP and is a nice break from the grind. questing on him is like steering a truck over mobs. make sure that you lvl ether (or both) cooking and/or First Aid and you will mow thru mobs. In Bgs lol at the clothy crits and crush the alliance skulls below your hooves (I play a cow :D).
Cons? I can't heal that is the ONLY thing that don't like. other than that It's a blast.
