It was just a small thread, but the forum is crawling with complaints. Apparently, a lot of people didn't play on the test realms and the images Blizzard released on the new forms were a little from the truth.

I seriously, seriously cannot understand the people that claim the new forms are fine and look good. Have those people ever seen a feline or an ursine in the real world (zoos count too) at all? Bears and cats have that kind of shape, that kind of bone structure because of evolution and it fits them. The bear we have right now in WoW is a malformed aberration of the unholy union that happened between a lonely warbear mount and a farmer's pig seeking for new people to meet on a nearby pumpkin patch few hours after midnight after they had met at Darkmoon Faire and got drunk from ale brewed in Outland, that used Tempest Keep irradiated water for brewing.

It's kind of a relief to find out I'm not the only one, thanks for the link Mazra. xD

One of my favorites:

Quote:
My bear form is a giant BADGER that can't hold himself upright, with obesity to rival my guild master's. My *** sticks up into the air and my chin scrapes along the ground. I look like a fat hamster experiment gone wrong. Bears are supposed to be all muscle. I look like the badger that was exiled from his homeland for being so fat and lazy.

My catform looks like i've had 5 year old girls playing around with me, sticking a retarded pink necklace that wont come off around my neck. When I sit or /sleep my tail looks like it's segmented into sections like a string of sausages. When I open my mouth to yawn, I have no tongue. I've also lost my defining cat shoulders and physique that makes me actually look graceful and agile. Someone has cut off my claws, shortened my saber teeth and neutered me so that when I attack things I may aswell be a Rogue armed with 2 spoons.

Yea, the necklace needs to go, but I thought the hindquarters on the kitty are much better now. I haven't looked in the mirror when I yawn; did those B...ards really take my tongue. I know, it's that chemist in Zul Drak that is always making brew...bet I find my tongue on his shelf...that scum!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna have to look, I haven't been paying much attention to kitty form, I'm too busy sitting there in bear form and ordering myself to like it or at least get used to it. I can't tank/solo as a giant butt, though. :(

Mostly un-related note--I read that as /b/tards rather than what you probably intended. Lulz.

I spent thirty minutes trying to decide if I could live the Bear form. My left eye is still twitching. After a while I changed to Cat form, but the purple necklace made me burst out in tears. I'm having a hard time forgiving Blizzard for this.

And it's so odd how there are these fanbois who feel the urge to defend Blizzard. Like they're hoping they'll get a free month, a murloc pet or a ticket to BlizzCon for taking Blizzard's side in every single case.

'You asked for new forms and now you got them, so stop whining and thank Blizzard for taking the time!'

I guess they're right.

Thank you, Blizzard, for taking the time to finish what you started some five years ago in the beta. Thank you for ignoring every single suggestion laid out by the Druid community on how to improve the forms. Thank you for giving us forms that not only look horrible, but also have more clipping errors than the old ones. Thank you for doing all of this and not replacing the beta placeholder skin for our Travel form in the process. And thank you for not listening to the feedback from the public test realms.

The €15 I pay every month definitely doesn't feel like a waste of good paper.

Meh.

I'm anxious to see Ghostcrawler's response to all of this, but I'm sure he won't set foot in the Druid forum another couple of patches now. After all, we wouldn't be disappointed so there's no need to check up on us.

Bear form? More liek PEAR FORM!

Bear form = pear form. Yes, I know it's a horrible pun, but it had to be done.

I'm still getting used to Kitty (rarely see bear). I feel like I have my head down & bum up all the time. The comment above about the lack of powerful shoulders really sums up my feeling as well. I want to change my coloring again (currently the red/brown one) but the other ferals in my raid have the white and yellow models which I think only leaves the black one, and it is too dark to see clearly when scrolled out :)

The real annoying part is you can't see what bear/cat look like when getting a haircut.

You can check the web for an image but it isn't the same.

I went and changed my ally druid hair from bright green to dark blue to get the dark bear/cat form. It was quite a few minutes until I thought "wait a minute...it looks like a huge badger". Now that is all I see.

The horde cat looks a zillion times better, it looks masculine, but the ally cat is a feminine looking one. Luckily my Tauren is male and NE is female, still don't like the necklace tho.

Amen to that, its just so frustrating not being able to preview the colour. I had to squint long and hard at Isyris's chart to make sure I got it right the first time...

By the way, I LOVE my new tauren cat and bear so Blizzard won't be receiving any complaints from me. Seems I'm in the minority.
